Alternative LocationsAt the 2nd crit it was mentioned to me that perhaps my location was lacking any features of interest

I intentionally chose a location that would not “distract” the viewer

However I thought it was important to investigate other possible locations of where this video podcast could take place

I considered the following points when thinking of other possible locations

•The podcast is aimed at people who lead an aspirational lifestyle •It is generally thought that men use technology more than women•I am looking to teach business users to get more functionality from their technology / gadgets / mobile devices.

With these three points considered I started to look at locations that would be suitable

Offices that have modern and contemporary décor, would fit in with the concept of targeting business users.I would consider people who work in office / studio jobs would have a income that allows for them to spend it on tech / gadgets.

The Studio / Office

This office is situated in The Round Foundry (Leeds)

It has the correct balance of modern furniture set in a location where someone who leads an aspiration lifestyle may work.

The Coffee Shop

Starbucks has strived to created a third place between home and work.

Starbucks is a place for people to come to, a place to not be alone, a place to be with other people, and a place where, without having to do anything people become a part of a community of sorts

Having worked with people in digital media and creative industries I am aware that informal meetings will often take place in coffee shops.
