BIOGRAPHYRobert W. (Eli) Kiefaber is a founding partner of Kie-

faber & Oliva LLP. Eli focuses his practice on mineral title is-sues, oil and gas transactions and litigation, real estate mattersand business litigation. His practice includes title opinions, divi-sion order opinions, joint operating agreements, acquisition anddivestiture of oil and gas assets, federal leases, pooling and unit-ization, environmental and regulatory matters, and energy andenvironmental litigation, including the Clean Air Act and theEndangered Species Act.

Eli has an extensive background in oil and gas mattersand business litigation. He has prepared hundreds of title opin-ions, including drilling title opinions, division order opinions,supplemental title opinions and acquisition title opinions. office of Vinson & Elkins LLP. His practice focuses on mer-gers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ven-tures, infrastructure projects and general corporate represen-tation focusing on the energy industry. He is a member ofV&E’s Energy Transaction and Projects Group in the Corpo-rate Department.

Since 2008, Mingda has represented clients in manyshale joint ventures in the United States, including CNOOC,Pioneer Natural Resources Company and other major USand international energy companies. He has also represent-ed US companies in their conventional oil & gas developmentactivities as well as foreign companies in their investmentsinto the United States. Mingda is also active in energy trans-actions outside the United States , and has represented a sub-sidiary of Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration andProduction Corporation in its investment in Repsol BrasilS.A. as well as HRT Participações em Petróleo S.A. in vari-ous transactions.
