Make a Sleek Drop Seat Belt Tassel Attach the tassel cap to your bag. Insert a measuring tape into the cap opening and determine how far down the bag you would like the tassel to fall. Cut a piece of seat belt webbing to the desired length. Finish one end by gently melting with a lighter or with a bead of glue. Trim the very edges of the long sides with sharp scissors from the unfinished end to about 1/4” from the finished end. Do not cut all the way or it will unravel entirely. Pull the vertical fibers to the sides to expose the horizontal fibers. Pull out the horizontal fibers and discard. Continue until all the fibers are loose to the 1/4” margin. At the un-frayed end, fold the sides to the back until the webbing is narrow enough to fit into the tassel cap. Insert the end into the tassel cap. For extra security, squeeze heavy duty adhesive into the cap before inserting the webbing. Make a Sleek Drop Seat Belt Tassel

Attach the tassel cap to your bag.

Screw in the screws.
