Alpha Legion Hydra Dominatus Points: 100 + modelsThe Alpha Legion has always been different fromthe other Legions. Last of the twenty, they wantedto prove their worth and made guerilla warfare theirspeciality. Training was harsh, difficult and squad-based instead of focusing on individuals as wasmore commonly done. Either the squad passed, or

it failed as a whole. Alpharius sent his legionagainst the most difficult opponents and was closeto Horus only. Scattered throughout the galaxy theAlpha Legion could not take part in the Siege of theImperial Palace, instead focussing on the myriad ofImperial worlds now left undefended and ripe forconquest. When Horus was killed and the otherLegions retreated to the Eye of Terror, the Alpha

Legion chose to scatter throughout the Imperiumand plague it from within. They have since financedand supported rebellions, providing men andweapons where needed. They have also sparkedmany an uprising with careful planning, achievingsuch successes as the corruption and destruction of

the Emperors Swords Space Marine chapter.Sometimes larger groups of Alpha Legion squadsassemble under the leadership of a small group ofthe Legions veterans. Together they form a HydraDominatus, a small force capable of fighting againstimpossible odds. Applying Alpharius teachings tothe letter, the only way to defeat them is to slaughterthem to the last man.

FORMATION RULES

Teachings of Alpharius:Lonely and bitter, Alpharius taught his warriors to fight as isolatedgroups, operating deep behind enemy lines.All units of the formation gain the Infiltration special rule at noadditional cost. In addition they always pass Pinning and Last ManStanding tests.

Hydra Dominatus:Never in the past has the death or assassination of high-ranking AlphaLegion officers done any harm to the Legions activities andeffectiveness in combat.Whenever an Aspiring Champion of the formations is killed, a Chaos

marine of his squad is immediately promoted to Aspiring Championand retreives the wargear of the fallen Aspiring Champion. The samerule applies to any Special of Heavy weapons a squad may have.

Lone Warriors:Units of the formation always count as operational for objective capturepurposes, however they can never be joined by any character.
