Alphabet of Lines The design industry has agreed on a set of
standard lines that are used to represent various objects.
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has developed this standard which is accepted throughout the industry.Written down in a standards manual.

Hidden lines should be omitted when they are not needed for clarity.
