Letter from the President

1

Alpha Gam holds special meaning for each of us: cherished memories, lifelong friendships, and family. But one of the things I have come to appreciate most about this indelible bond is how it changes and brings new meaning with each new chapter in my life.

As I grow older, my Initiation Day falling farther and farther behind me, I appreciate Alpha Gamma Delta for all it has and continues to give me, but more so for what it

“Pearl Project” Kickoff and Expanding Our Sisterhood are Just a Couple of the Things OCAC is Proud to Present

2

allows me to do now for others. With this in mind, the Orange County Alumnae Chapter is digging deeper to find ways to honor our fraternity's mission to give back. We invite you to take part as we work on "Pearl Projects," bringing a little extra brightness to someone else's lives.

To kick off our campaign, come to our Alpha Gam Always Newport Harbor cruise on August 16 armed with all the extra hotel toiletries

accumulated through your summer travels. All donations received will be given to Women Helping Women, helping disadvantaged women find employment. We also have some other events planned, with full details listed on page 6.

We hope you will join us in our mission to "Impact the World" one project at a time!

Loyally,

Beth

This May, the Delta Tau Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta welcomed some of its newest members. Among those women was an OCAC Alumna Initiate, Tracy Durst.

A Rancho Santa Margarita native, Tracy graduated from

5

Chapman University in 2009 with her BS in Athletic Training. She will be returning to Chapman in the fall to pursue her Masters in Education.

Tracy is an avid scuba diver and line dancer. She is a

wonderful addition to our sisterhood!
