    Meeting Notes

    During the eighth general meeting of the Spring 2012 semester, the

    Executive Board held a panel discussion. Various questions were answereby each member of the board such as What was your greatest challenge

    this semester as well as What is the best part about your position?. This

    was a great way for prospective Fall 2012 Executive Board members to allow

    their questions to be answered. The Fall 2012 Executive Board nomination

    will be held on March 30. Following the general meeting, Cherry, Bekaert

    & Holland conducted a presentation held in a presidential debate for-

    mat discussing the dierences between careers in tax and audit.

    The next general meeting will be on March30, 2012. Florida Power &

    Light (FPL) will be presenting for both Finance and Accounting students.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    There are various opportunities available within the Finance Analyst Development Program:

    Reporting, Planning and Analysis: Internally report monthly or quarterly financial results, including presentations tosenior management; analyze business reasons for results; forecast financial results for future periods; prepare futureyears budgets.

    Controllers: Request, consolidate, analyze, validate and report financial data while adhering to internal control stand-ards; ensure overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle; work toenhance the efficiency and control of the financial reporting process; work on external filings and press releases.

    Training and Development

    Expected graduation date ranging from December 2011 to June 2012

    GPA of 3.5 or above

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills
