After Sugar is dissolved in a wash the remaining material is a mixture of Lignin and the proprietary Catalyst. Through a protected separation process the lignin is removed from the catalyst.

CATALYST & LIGNIN

CATALYST  The proprietary catalyst in the CTS™ process is an all-natural element that is in great abundance around the globe. It is non-toxic, non-corrosive and completely green. Once separated from the Lignin the Catalyst is returned to the front of the factory to air dry and then is reused over and over again. LIGNIN  Lignin is a valuable byproduct that a wide range of chemicals can be obtained from and used as a starting material for polymers, polyesters and polystyrene derivatives. Lignin can also be used for energy generation in certain applications due to its high BTU properties.

CTSTM ADAPTABILITY One of the main advantages of the CTS™ process is its ability to be adapted to a variety of applications. From single purpose, freestanding industrial plants producing sugars, fine chemicals and biofuels to onsite fermentation facilities making diesels, ethanols and other fermentation related products. The CTS™ process can be added to existing facilities or fashioned into a portable modular unit to be taken directly to remote feedstock locations.
