I. Writing of the Treaty of Versailles: The three main powers who wrote the Treaty of Versailles were Great Britain, France, and the United States. The three central powers, Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire, were not allowed to negotiate.

What each country wanted out of the treaty largely depended on how they were affected during the war. As we look at the following slides, make an inference about how each country would want to treat Germany after the war.
