Alliance Behavioral Healthcare (Alliance) is the Local Management Entity/Managed
Care Organization covering Durham, Wake, Johnston and Cumberland Counties
and has been selected to operate a pilot Waiver for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in these
four counties. The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has
submitted an application for this TBI waiver to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services (CMS) for review and approval. General Information and the state TBI waiver
application, including the list of proposed services to be covered under this waiver can
be found here:

Upon approval by CMS, Alliance will be determining and evaluating the provider
network capacity for the services outlined in the waiver needed to meet the needs of
individuals that will be participating in this TBI waiver.
In advance of the waiver approval (therefore, we do not know its final content), Alliance is hosting this listening session in order to hear from service providers who
