The board of e-Government has sacked five members of its top management headed by former

minister of defence, Dr Olu Agunloye and four others including: Mr Gbenga Adebusuyi over alleged

mismanagement of the outfit.

One of the directors, Mr Eric Amagada, was named the interim administrator, pending the composition

of a new management team, while an adhoc committee was appointed to investigate the accounts of

e-Government and recommend ways of curbing wastage in the organisation.

These were highpoints of the 19th board meeting held over the weekend. Similarly, the board

terminated the appointment of Matrix Solicitors as the company’s secretary and Legal Advisers, and

appointed the firm of Messrs CNS/Adefulu, Odujirin and Co. as the new company secretary and legal

adviser.

Other members of the management team affected in the sack include Mr. LA Ajiboye, Alhaji Adamu

Tanko and Mr. Segun Agbabiaka.

e-Government in a statement jointly signed by board chairman, Chief B Fumudoh and another director,

Mr Felix Babatunde Obada, explained that the decision was taken over alleged misconduct of the

executive management headed by Dr Olu Agunloye and Gbenga Adebusuyi, stating that the board was

only keen in protecting the vision and fortunes of the company.

According the statement, the crucial meeting where the decisions were taken was attended by key

members of the board including: Fumudoh, Chief Mrs Oluyemisi Rufus-Giwa, Felix Babatunde Obada,

Alhaji Abubakar Ali, Dr Olu Agunloye, and Mrs Gbemi Laditan and Mr Eric Amagada.

Amagada is a 1987 graduate of Economics of the University of Ife now Obafemi

Awolowo University and relocated to the United States few years after

graduation where he joined First America Enqiuries Inc, Denver, Colorado as an

Investment Banker. He qualified as a stockbroker in 1990.

On returning to Nigeria in 1994, he founded the firm of Iroko Consultants, a

management economic and technology development consultancy which hitherto, is still working for

Public and private sector organisations including drawing up economic development master plans for

government at all tiers.
