First we met…

Seated in the fun wheelie chairs in the yearbook office, Caufield and Schwartz decided to research modern methods of staging, while Brackett and Callari took on the medieval stuff…

Dude, where’s my pageant wagon?!

Fee told us there would be no big honkin stage this year… so we had to think simple… theatre in the round started to sound like the most viable option…

Ideas abounded… sort of

We had a few ideas of elements to include in our stage design…

Medieval Aspects: Audience

participation, all actors present on the stage, rocky theme, vibrant colors

Modern Aspects: disco ball, tapestries,

“evoke the era”

And then we waited…

“If you could have sex with any older man, who would you

choose?”(see, this is what happens when we get distracted)

“hottest old man EVER”

But we feared the wrath of Fee…

…so we figured we should probably design the t-shirts, while we waited ever so patiently for a copy of the coveted script.

And this is what we came up with:

(we’re hoping it meets his expectations!)

Mr. Rudisill displaying our shirt

And then… we got the script!

Upon the grassy knoll…

with the start of rehearsals, we were able to see whether the location we had in mind would be workable… and we discovered that the lamp posts would serve as ideal supports for our backdrops

And then the t-shirts arrived!

…and they were so good, EVERYONE wanted to wear one!

Now for the next step…

we’ve forged into the cardboard heaps of Agway… now we must transform our corrugated wonders into fabulous 70s afterschool special-esque scenery
