7. Approve a trip to New York City, New York for Lakota West High School Drama Club from April 5-9, 2010. The students will participate in a theatre workshop, see two Broadway shows, and visit many sights. The students will not miss any school days. There will be no cost to the district.

8. Approve a trip to Washington DC for Lakota West High School journalism students to participate in the Journalism Education Association/National Scholastic Press Association National Fall Convention from November 12-15, 2009. The students will miss one day of school. There is no cost to the district.

9. Approve a trip to New Brunswick, New Jersey and Washington, DC for Lakota West High School Band students from April 5-11, 2010. The students will perform at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and sit in on a rehearsal of the Marine Band in Washington DC. The students will not miss any school days. There will be no cost to the district.

10. Approve the acceptance of a $500.00 GE STAR Scholarship awarded to Lakota West High School and authorize the treasurer to establish the appropriate fund. Funds from this grant will be used to purchase supplies and materials for the math department at Lakota West High School.

11. Approve the acceptance of an $800.00 Greater Cincinnati Foundation Learning Links grant awarded to Union Elementary School and authorize the treasurer to establish the appropriate fund. Funds from this grant will be used to purchase motivational books, games, activities, and incentives that will target students’ specific intervention needs.

12. Accept donations as presented in Appendix A.
