Judging 12.15 - 2 pm – Show open for viewing 2 pm (approx*)

Presentation of prizes at 3 pm

Tea and Cakes served from 1.30 pm

1 The Jubilee Trophy – donated by the late Mrs J Dobbin and awarded for the most points in division 1.

2 The Ashurst Challenge Cup – donated by the late Mrs Wilson-Collins and awarded for the best exhibit in the flowering shrub and ornamental foliage class 10-11.

3 The Hawksfold Cup – donated by the Society and awarded for the best exhibit in the spring bulb classes 1-9.

4 The Maxwell Stephens Cup – donated by the late Mr Phillip Maxwell- Stephens and awarded for the best exhibit in the Handicraft and Design and Technology classes 50 - 52.

5 The Spring Flower Cup – awarded for the best exhibit in class 20.

6 The Schuster Challenge Cup – donated by the late Miss Schuster and awarded for the best photograph in classes 53-55.

7 The Floral Cup – donated by the Society and presented for the best exhibit in classes 21-22.

Trumpet Daffodil Cultivars: One flower to a stem; corona (‘trumpet’) as long as, or longer than the perianth segments (‘petals’).

Large-cupped Daffodil Cultivars: One flower to a stem; corona (‘cup’) more than one third, but less than equal to the length of the perianth seg-ments (‘petals’).

Small-cupped Daffodil Cultivars: One flower to a stem: corona (‘cup’) not more than one third the length of the perianth segments (‘petals’).

Judging Criteria for photography. Fit to category (20%) How well does the photo meet the criteria of the category it is in? Composition (30%) Are the items of interest placed well in the photo? Are there distracting elements? Technical quality (10%) Is the photo in focus? Is the photo well-exposed? Overall impression and creativity (40%) Is the photo able to grab viewer’s attention and hold it? What is the ‘wow’ factor? Is the subject matter pictured in a unique way or is a common item shown from an interesting point-of-view? Does the photo demonstrate originality? Has the photographer used light in interesting ways?
