We are “Bringing Back Buck” on the exciting trip to Argentina’s capital city Buenos Aires to witness the All Blacks take on the Pumas in the 2020 Rugby Championship. Join legendary All Blacks captain Buck Shelford as we uncover some of Buenos Aires best kept secrets. Discover the street art of palermo, the colourful neighbourhood of La Boca & the lively San Telmo markets. Join the craft beer revolution taking over Buenos Aires and enjoy a Argentinean Asado (BBQ) with top chef Fernando Mayoral. Spend the day enjoying the countryside at a ranch in the pampa’s region and cruise aboard a private vessel through the Tigre Delta. All this plus we will spend some time at a rugby club where we will spend some time sharing stories, beers & a BBQ with local club members and an ex-Puma ahead of the BIG GAME!
Day 1: Auckland-Buenos Aires Depart from Auckland on an Air New Zealand direct flight to Buenos Aires. Enjoy a welcome reception in the Sofitel’s private bar, with tapas finger food, wine and beer Day 2: City Tour with Gourmet Lunch Explore on a fascinating city tour taking the main highlights. Stopping at a secret spot, we’ll enjoy lunch cooked by Fernando Mayoral Day 3: Ranch day at Estancia El Ombu Enjoy a short horse ride or go for a ride in a sulky carriage. Enjoy a typical Argentine asado prepared using only the finest quality meats Day 4: Tigre Delta Explore the delta aboard the “Chata Afrodita” with lunch. For dinner, enjoy a unique dining experience and one of the best steaks in Argentina Day 5: Street Art and Beer Tour, Buenos Aires Enjoy a walking tour of Palermo to find out why Buenos Aires is one of the street art capitals of the world. We then continue our tour to a selection of the city’s many brewery pubs with a local expert.
