What is alignment?Quite simply, it means lining things up.
Bad Alignment
See the blue page with 3 white photo boxes? The photos don’t line up. They should.
Every time you place a photo box you should check it both horizontally and vertically against the other text boxes and photo boxes on the page. Does it line up?
Good Alignment
See the blue page with 3 white photo boxes? Now the photo boxes line up.
Did you notice that the boxes are the same distance apart? That’s not an accident.

Oh dear. Now we’ve got both badly aligned photo boxes AND badly aligned text boxes.
Somebody is NOT paying attention!

The text boxes are lined up with the photo boxes vertically AND horizontally. Nice.

Here’s what it looks like without the black lines.
The black lines are just imaginary anyway, so that you can see the alignment.
When you are using StudioWorks, a little blue dashed line pops up to show when you have things lined up. That’s a smart feature to watch for!
