The Birds is a 1963 suspense/horror film directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock,

It was based on book ‘The Birds’ by Daphne Du Maurier
Starring Rod Taylor, Jessica Tandy, Suzanne Pleshette and Tippi Hedren
The film was distributed by Universal Pictures
About the film…
The special effects shots of the attacking birds were done at Walt Disney Studios by animator/technician Ub Iwerks,
who used the sodium vapour process ("yellow screen") which he had helped to develop.
Hitchcock decided to do make use of sound effects then have a musical score
Mixtur-Trautonium was used to create some of the bird sounds for the film
