Outstanding control gives the Ala 147 excellent

active saety credentials the ability to avoid an

accident in the rst place. Equally important are its

passive saety systems the ones that look ater

you i an accident does happen.

The Ala 147s passive saety story starts with

its rigid cabin structure, conceived by Ala Romeo

as a survival cell. Anti-intrusion bars oer added

protection or the driver and passengers. Front

seat belts are equipped with pretensioners and

load limiters.

Car saety is urther enhanced with a Fire

Prevention System (FPS) that cuts out uel

delivery instantly and automatically in the event

o an accident.

Six airbags provide even more protection or

every occupant. In addition to the ront-impact

airbags or the driver and passenger, the 147

has two side-bags built into the ront seats, and

two window curtain airbags or urther protection

against head injuries in the event o a side impact.

The Ala 147 also boasts passive anti-thet

devices: Ala Code key, the immobiliser and a

steering lock that works by riction to prevent the
