St. Jacobs Country Playhouse

The St. Jacobs Country Playhouse is conveniently located on Benjamin Road at the northern edge of Waterloo, in the heart of St. Jacobs’ Market District. With unique shopping within walking distance, a visit to the Playhouse is a memorable outing, whether you’re coming from near or far.

Operating year-round, the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse is a distinctive venue that features turn-of-the-century masonry and heavy timber accents associated with traditional Mennonite architecture. With 398 seats, the theatre auditorium has a raked layout that affords each seat a fantastic view of the stage.

Washroom Facilities

Enjoy treats in your seats! You may now bring beverages and snacks purchased in the lobby inside the theatre with you.

Pre-order your refreshments for intermission. We offer a variety of spirits and wines, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. We also carry a selection of refreshing ice cream treats. Avoid the crowd at the bar! Simply leave your pre-paid order with our bar staff and it will be waiting for you at a pre-determined location in time for intermission. Please note, no outside food or beverages are allowed in the auditorium.

Directly across from the main entrance you will find our spacious washroom facilities. There is also a single stallwashroom upstairs before the entrance to Box 5.

AccessibilityDrayton Entertainment is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to patrons with disabilities. There are designated wheelchair spots available at each performance. Please contact our box office to book wheelchair seating in advance of the performance.

We are pleased to offer infrared hearing devices at no charge. Patrons who require our wireless hearing assist system may pick up a personal device at the Box Office.

ParkingAmple free parking is available in the theatre parking lot, which extends around behind the theatre. Drop-offs are permitted outside of the main theatre doors. Overnight parking is not permitted. See the parking map on last page for details.
