Witch hazel (Hamamelis)The leaves have anti-inflammatory, astringent and local hemostyptic actions. The scope of application covers local inflammations of the skin and mucous membranes, and minor skin injuries. In folk medicine, the leaves are also used for inflammation of the colon and external swellings and ulcers. – The shrub that originally came from North America bears the name witch hazel, because it bears fruit before blossoming. – The witch hazel leaves used come from the Soluna Medicinal Gardens.

Larch agaric (Spongia)This fungus is traditionally an emphratic (perspiration-inhibiting) remedy for infectious diseases. – The fungus weighs up to kg and grows laterally on trunks of old larches and cedars. It is a frequent bitter medium in tonic liquors such as Sweden Bitter.

Mistletoe herb (Viscum Album.)Parenterally applied mistletoe preparations made from fresh mistletoe herb have an immune-stimulating and cytostatic impact. Mistletoe is a traditional folk medicine against cancer and is moreover employed for lowering blood pressure, for fits of dizziness and for degenerative joint diseases. In summary, Bernus explains the effective scope of the mistletoe: »Since the mistletoe is a parasitic plant, it is especially indicated against cancer and cancer-like abscesses and neoformations – it is also an epilepsy remedy and is used against eclampsia and cramp conditions.« – The mistletoe herb is also a component of Nr. Polypathik.

Marigold blossoms (Calendula)The blossoms act as an anti-inflammatory remedy, and are granulation promoting and therefore beneficial for healing wounds. The scope of application covers gastric and intestinal ulcers. The blossoms were a basic remedy in cancer therapy up to the mid th century. Bernus correspondingly explained its effective scope: »Internally and externally as a cancer remedy, especially of significance for gastric and uterine cancer. Very valuable herb!« –
