Last Friday (8-05-

2009) at 12:50 in our

gym there was an act

of closing of all the

activities about the 25

anniversary.

We celebrate the 25

anniversary of the high

school and the 50

anniversary of the

European Union (EU). All of the ex-principals were there,

also the Mayoress,

some teachers and the

adviser of education

and science.

They enjoyed with a

concert performed by

students of 4º, 3º, 2º

and 1º ESO and a

speech about the high

school and EU made

up by some students of all the courses.

In the speech, students told them the Europe’s Greek

myth, some dates about EU, like the countries that are in

the European Union and when they joined the

EU, and something about the high school.

After the ceremony, there was an appetizer

for all the authorities and teachers.

I am going to talk about Book Day. Last 23rd of

April we celebrated this day in my high school,

Diego de Siloé . There was a market of books

where you could give or buy some books to

help poor people in

Africa or other

underdeveloped

countries. I gave away

two books named:

¨The chicken that

wanted to be a

princess¨ and ¨The

palace of paper¨. Other

people also could buy

the books that were

given with a low price.

In

my opinion, this day is very

important because all the high

school (including the teachers)

helped to build schools and

25th anniversary

My favourite videogame is Mercenarios 2, because it is a very good

videogame.

In this videogame you can fight with the Venezuela`s army and other

armies like China’s army or universal petroleum . In the videogame

you can drive cars, tanks, boats, motorbikes, lorries or helicopters.

In the videogame you control a person that is called Mathias and you

need to carry out missions to earn money and with this money you

can buy new vehicles and weapons.

The objetive of the videogame is to kill a political leader called “Solano”.

These are some of the tricks you can use:

To have a million dolars:

Eternal life: (you need to put this tricks in the “menu of facciones”)

We were in the school canteen to ask some questions to the canteen ladies:

1What is the sandwich you sell the most? Bacon sandwich. 2 What is the snack you sell the most? Kaskys. 3 How many years have you been working in the canteen? We have been here for nineteen years. 4 Do you take a lot of time to sell the new jelly fruits ? Not very much. We sell them quickly 5 Do many students come to the canteen between classes? So and so. Last year more students used come and buy more snacks, sandwiches and jelly fruits. 6 Which is the sandwich you sell the less? The tuna sandwich .

7 Do you sell more pastries or more sandwiches? Why? We sell more sandwiches. I don’t now. 8 Have you received any complaint? No, because we are very good 9 Are you overwhelmed during the break? Why? Always. Because there are too many people and they all want the sandwiches at the same time. 10 Which are the sweets you sell the most? We sell all kinds of sweets quite very well but lollipops are the students favourite. 11 And which are the sweets you sell the less? We sell everything we have weekly. 12 What do teachers consume? Coffee and toasts 13 Has the crisis affected you? Yes, very much. 15 Do students buy you more or less treats than last year? More or less the same though they buy less cheesy puffs. Thank you. Bye

SPRING

When you look at the sky, Sun rays reflect on your face.

Birds fly up high, Bears go out from their caves.

This is the spring, A time of life.

Wake up from the dream,

Roses, lilies, butterflies.

Come on! Come and play.

Let’s turn off the TV

And enjoy the day.

I love the spring.

I love this season. That’s why I write this,

It is my reason.

POEMS

Red rain,

Orange pone,

Yellow bird shine,

Green hope,

Blue day,

Purple bike,

Black date,

The colours in my life.

Sunny summer,

Cold Winter,

Wise father,

Boring sister.

I’m going to take a flower,

A rose too

I’m going to have a shower

With some shampoo.

I can’t open my eyes

Because it’s six o’clock.

Please help me

Because I’m going to beat me with

a rock.

I saw you in the street

But you kissed a girl.

I crossed with a tree

And I thought that she is yours.

LIKES AND DISLIKES

Let me speak these words,

The things that I like most,

And the things I don’t like at all

They are disgusting, horrible they

are,

They are my headache

And stab my heart,

Cauliflowers fall me apart.

I feel badly when it arrives.

I begin biting my nails.

It is like a thousand knives,

Technology is my noghtmare.

It’s energy in your thumb,

Moving without control.

It is better tan ham! Yes, playing videogames is the thing I

like most.

It’s to travel without changing your

place.

It’s to dream without being asleep.

It’s like a magic space

Just to to take a book and read.

Listen to me, I’m talking to you, Because there’s no smart life on Earth,

If you don’t have a good book.

In this place, El Colmenar, my great grandmother was born. In "El Colmenar" my family and I have a house, where we go a lot of weekends and holidays. It is a beautiful village. It has only nine houses, so it is a small village. In this village the water came from a spring. In the village we have a lot of trees with almonds and olives that in the spring we collect. My grandmother and my sister love flowers, such as daisies and lilac. In summer nights, my family and I have dinner under the stars of the sky .This village is surrounded by green, animals, trees, mountains and a lot of things and I hope you

like this village, EL COLMENAR.

Ayrton Senna

was a Brazilian race driver born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on March 21st, 1960, and died at Imola, San

Marino, on May 1st, 1994. He was a very famous race driver who excelled in world races because he won three championships in the most important cars racing competition in the world, the Formula 1. His three championships were got versus Formula One legends as Michael Schumacher, Nigel Mansell and Alain Prost in the years 1988, 1990 and 1991. He also got two runners-up in the years 1989 and 1993. In races, Senna excelled because his aggressive, extreme and brave driving above all in rainy races. He could drive on rainy as

fast as in dry. But Ayrton Senna will be always remembered because his shocking and tragic death in the Enzo e Dino Ferrari Circuit, where he crashed at a speed of

more than 300 km/h. He is considered for many people the best race driver ever.

In my opinion, Senna was a peculiar person, very shy with

the Media, but with a very close relation with his cars and

Formula 1 world. But for me, he is the best race driver of the

History below

What’s up? We’re two children of the class 2ºB, and we’re going to talk you about our fantastic

class.

Our class is in the high school Diego de Siloé, and it’s in the second floor.

Our tutor is Paula Lloret. We have to learn these subjects: English, French, Maths, Language,

Science, Geography and History, Physical Education, Art, Religion and Education for Citizenship

and the Human rights. We have a difficult, we are in the British program and we learn Geography

and History and Science in English, but it’s a very good opportunity for us.

We’re 24 classmates, and some teachers say that we’re a little turbulent, but we think that there are worse classes in our

high school. We love the playgrounds and the happy-times we have (but only sometimes) with our teachers. We all are good

partners, and we usually don’t argue with the other schoolmates. A lot of children in our class have changed from the last

year to now, and we can see that we have grown up. We see that some children have matured.

Usually, the 24 classmates are in room 207, but during some classes, we must go to other room. In Science, we go down to

the lab. In Physical Education we go to the gym. In Religion, some students go to the playground because they don’t study

this subject, they go to Alternative, and the rest of the class remain in room 207 but with some students from the class

2ºC.

Classmates are very nice, you laugh a lot with them :), you learn some morals about their experiences, but sometimes we

can be too annoying for our teachers…Sorry!!

Our teachers are very good teachers: they make activities for us, they try to teach us, they try to help us in all the

things they can…but they don’t take us to a field-trip to a thematic park… :(

Around the 80% of the mates are from Albacete, but some others came to live here a few years ago. For example, there

is a boy from Romania, two girls from the Valencian Community and another girl from a village of Albacete, Cenizate. As

you can see, there are different distances, one boy is from other country, two girls from other Autonomous Community

and a girl from other village.

We miss some of our classmates

of the last year that couldn’t

pass the course, but we continue

seeing them in the high school.

When you have been in this class,

you are part of it forever.

WE ARE THE BEST CLASS OF

THE HIGH SCHOOL.

=D

And if you don’t think it, write an

article to demonstrate it.
