Major Event Alarm ReportAlarm Management Reports*
This report displays the alarm
activity after a major event
based on number of minutes.
Alarm activity is based on
agreed benchmarks
providing guidance on what
is acceptable and what is
excessive.
Benchmarks for the number
of alarms following a major
event are set out in the
EEMUA 191 guidelines.
When the number of alarms
displayed in the 10 minutes
following a major plant
upset is greater than 100, it
is considered excessive
and very likely to lead to the
operator abandoning use
of the system. When it is
less than 10, it should be
manageable but may still be
difficult if several of the alarms
require a complex operator
response.

Alarm Count Report Alarm Management Reports*
The report displays a count
of the total number of alarms
related to the rate of alarm
occurrence. Alarm activity is
also summarized by
occurrence of alarms and
event activity per minute.
Benchmarks for assessing
average alarm rates are
set out by the EEMUA 191
guidelines.When a long-term
average alarm rate in steady
operation is more than one
per minute, it is considered
unacceptable. When the
average alarm rate is below
one per 10 minutes, it is
considered acceptable.

Description: This report displays the top 10 percent (%) correlations (the probability of simultaneous events) between a trigger alarm occuring and another alarm also occurring in a defined time period before and after each trigger event.
The report displays the top 10 percent (%) correlations (the probability of simultaneous events) between a trigger alarm occurring and another alarm also occurring/triggering in a defined time period before and after each trigger event, over a defined time period. i.e. 50% of the time alarm x occurred, alarm y also occurred in the 1 minute before or 5 minutes after, during the month of September 2007. Note: Only the triggering or raising of alarms from the inactive to the active state is included in the correlation. Standing alarms are not included in the correlation calculations. The evaluation does not preclude the correlation of the trigger alarm with itself. A high auto-correlation could reveal a repeating alarm pattern.

Alarm Correlation Report Alarm Management Reports*
This report displays the
top 10% correlations (the
probability of simultaneous
events) between a trigger
alarm occurring and an
additional alarm occurring in
a defined time period before
and after each trigger event.
For example, 100% of the
time that alarm A0005-
CES-14 occurred, alarm
A0012-CES-03 also
occurred, either in the minute
prior or the five minutes after,
during the month of January,
2008.
Note: Only the triggering or
raising of alarms from the
inactive to the active state is
included in the correlation.
Standing alarms are not
included in the correlation
calculations. The evaluation
does not preclude the
correlation of the trigger
alarm with itself. A high auto-
correlation could reveal a
repeating alarm pattern.

Description: - The graph and table "The graph data in tabular form" shows the aggregates of values of the tags specified in the "Combined tags" report parameter (must contain only numeric tags) by date-time (X-axis). Note that unchecking unwanted aggregates may improve the readability of the graph as the scale is automatically adjusted for the range of values in the graph.- The table "Reporting tags' values matrix" shows all reporting tags (specified in the "Tags" report parameter) values in textual format.- The "Combined tags" parameter allows to chose one or more numeric tags from those chosen in the "Tags" parameter.

Tag Calculation ViewTag Calculation Report
This report displays a tabular
and graphical history of a
calculation based on the
selected tags and a
calculation within an interval.
This report shows our ability
to calculate on variability.
Applications would be the
total of five flow meters,
maximum flow or minimum
flow.
Benefits of ReportReview the combined value of the calculation
tags, i.e. the difference
between the process
variable and the set point.
