Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, Mamta Bhargava’s mother, worked closely with Mahatma Gandhi and joined his non-cooperaon movement against Brish rule. Her popular Hindi poems such as Jhansi Ki Rani, Jallianwala Bagh, Veeron Ka Kaisa Ho Basant, Rakhi Ki Chunau, and Vida inspired many Indian youths to parcipate in the Indian freedom movement, and one of the poems will be featured in this program. He is considered Father of the Naon as he was one of the major figures of the Indian independence movement against Brish colonial rule leading India to independence through nonviolent civil disobedience.
