• The Alamo was a former Roman Catholic missions and fortresses compound.
• It was the site of the battle of the Alamo.

Battle of the Alamo description
• It was fought in 1836.• Anglo-Americans “Texans” and Hispanic
Tejanos fought in the battle of the Alamo.• There were about 260 Texans defending the
Alamo and took on about 2400 Mexicans in 13 days.
• Even though the Texans were defeated it was a Texas victory.
