Cherokee Indians

Cherokee diet: the Cherokee ate mainly corn ,beans and squash ,[the three sisters],which were grown in their fields. They made corn into flat breads like tacos and tortillas and made beans into stew and soups. Meat was a main part of the diet including deer, rabbits,birds ,fish,ducks and shellfish. The cherokee women gathered berries, greens, and nuts such as hictory,walnuts and pecans.

George Washington Carver was born prior to the end of the Civil War in Missouri and spent his early years in Missouri.In his 40 plus years working and teaching at Tuskegee University, e discovered more than 300 uses for peanuts,soybeans,pecans and sweet potatoes. Most of his research showed farmers alternate uses for crops other than cotton. His peanut research led to products for cosmetics,alternate fuel products,rubber products, fertilizers,and many.H died on Januart 5,1942 at age 78 and was buried at Tuskegee University next to Booker T. Washington. h

Largemouth bass feed on other fish and large invertibrates such as crayfish and smaller bass.
