We are working relentlessly towards a better community and to make your neighborhood the place you feel most comfortable and secure. As part of our ongoing efforts to uplift the community, we have added fencing and new playground equipment to our kids play area for your security and recreation. There are also ongoing works on building enhancement like lift flooring replacement, internal/external painting and façade cleaning both in Phase I and II.

For your health and safety and to improve your day-to day life, “No Smoking” signage was installed in both phases, and a BTU meter in Phase II is currently in progress.

In addition to that, you might notice that even with the hot weather, the area’s still getting fresher and greener. That’s because of the palm trees surrounding the neighborhoods, and the seasonal plants that were carefully picked to adorn the community.

Al Khail Gate residents were treated to a Family Fun Filled Day in May with dance performances, clowns, bouncy castles, children’s games and much more.

But wait! There’s more to come! Be ready for a lot more exciting events we have organized for you to make your stay in the community more enjoyable and memorable.

NOW OPENAl Khail Mall has over 45,000 square feet of shopping and dining space, and caters perfectly to residents with ample parking and a handy 24/7 supermarket on the ground floor.The mall’s stores also offer Al Khail Gate residents a convenient and accessible retail experience with a range of services including two money exchange houses (Al Ahalia Money Exchange and Al Razouki Exchange), tours & travels (Al Hind Travels), two electronic stores (Sim Fone Multimedia and Techorbit Trading), three salons (Whoz Next Gents Salon, Better Gents Salon and Queens Bee ladies salon), Better Life pharmacy (Docib Nutrition Centre), a food court, Karama Medical Centre, a roastery, ATMs, and much more. For a pleasant living environment within Al Khail Gate, and to ensure our community remains as safe and secure as possible, here are some reminders and tips to help you play your part:

• Tenants should use the garbage chute for throwing away their garbage using sealed bags. Dumping off trash on the floor of the garbage chute room or outside it is extremely prohibited, as it could make our surroundings dirty, cause bad odors and diseases, and encourage the infestation of insects and cockroaches

• Disposal of flammable, explosive and hazardous items in the garbage chute, or any items other than household waste, i.e. furniture, is prohibited

• We encourage adults to set an example for their children at home by teaching them the proper way of disposing of home waste in designated areas

A DELICIOUS RAMADAN RECIPELet’s welcome the month of Ramadan with hearts filled with peace, joy and a simple yet delicious recipe that will add variety and color to your table and make your next Iftar gathering extra special!

RED LENTIL SOUP

Ingredients:

• 1 tbsp olive oil• 1 medium onion, diced• 1 cup (180g) dried red lentils• 2 soft chicken (or vegetable) bouillon cubes• 2 bay leaves• 1½ tsp cumin• ¼ tsp black pepper• 3 cups (700 ml) hot water• Fresh lemon and/or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat; add the onion and sauté until slightly softened, about 5 minutes.

2. Add the lentils, bouillon cubes, bay leaves, cumin, black pepper, and hot water; cover the pot and bring the soup up to a rolling boil, then turn down the heat and let it boil gently for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, and adding a splash of water if necessary.

3. Taste the soup and add salt and pepper as desired.4. Serve garnished with fresh lemon and a sprig of fresh parsley

if desired.

وصفة رمضانية شهية

وصفة حساء العدس األحمر

المكونات:

• 1 ملعقة كبيرة زيت زيتون• 1 بصلة متوسطة الحجم، مقطعة إلى مكعبات

• 1 كوب (180غ) من العدس األحمر • 2 مكعب مرق دجاج )أو خضار( طري

• 2 ورقة غار• ½1 ملعقة صغيرة كمون

• ¼ ملعقة صغيرة فلفل أسود • 3 أكواب (700 مل) ماء ساخن

• ليمون حامض طازج و/أو بقدونس )اختياري، للتزيين(

طريقة التحضير :

1. يسخن الزيت في المقالة على درجة حرارة متوسطة. بعدها يضاف إليه البصل ويقلى إلى أن يصبح طريًا (5 دقائق تقريبًا(

2. يضاف العدس، مكعبات المرق، ورق الغار، الكمون، الفلفل األسود والماء الساخن. يغطى القدر ويترك الحساء ليصل إلى مرحلة الغليان ثم تخفض

الحرارة ويترك الحساء ليغلي بهدوء مدة 30 دقيقة. يجب تحريك الحساء من حين إلى آخر وإضافة قليل من الماء عند الضرورة

3. حان وقت تذوق الحساء وإضافة الملح والفلفل بحسب الرغبة 4. وأخيراً يقدم الطبق مزينًا بالليمون الحامض الطازج وأوراق البقدونس الطازج
