Al Hassan Group through its own companies Al Hassan Switchgear Manufacturing Co. LLC (AHSG) & Al Hassan Power Industries LLC (AHPI) is the largest manufacturer of Switchgear Equipment in Oman with manufacturing facilities at Muscat and Buraimi.

AHSG manufactures complete range of LV Switchboards while AHPI manufactures MV Switchboards and Control and Relay panels up to 220 kV. Al Hassan has the capability to design and produce low and medium voltage panels conforming to the exact requirements of the clients.

Al Hassan is by far the leader in Switchgear industry in Oman with the largest market share in Oman and a significant part of its production is exported to GCC markets.

1992

The company enters the Switchgear Business with a manufacturing facility in Muscat.

An obsession with Customized Products, Quality, Human Resources, HSE and most importantly, Customers, develop as the FIVE PILLARS of our foundation.

2001

Realizing that reputable Switchgear manufacturers offering cost benefits as well as high quality are in short supply, the company undertakes a massive expansion and growth program which results in large scale investments. This has led to expansion of the product range such as MV Switchboards, C&R Panels, IMCSs and updating with new technology. The outcome was quickly forthcoming with substantial sales growth and having the largest market share in Oman.

2009 and onwards ….

Having added one more production facility in Buraimi, at the Oman-UAE border, to meet the demand in the exports markets, the company now looks more aggressively at the GCC markets.

The total shop-floor area across these two factories is over 20,000 sq m, with immense space for future expansion.

• Right from the shearing operation till the buffing operation, high standards of process quality are maintained by the highly skilled team of operators under the guidance of qualified QA/QC Engineers

Pre-treatment & Painting

• Seven Tank Dip Type Pre-treatment Process [Degreasing, Zinc Phosphating & Chromate Sealing] to enhance corrosion resistance of panels

• After pre-treatment, the panels are powder coated in in-house High Precision Powder Coating Booths and oven baked at 250° C. This ensures no rusting and scratch resistant painting of panels.

• In-house Painting is type tested by doing 1000 hours salt spray testing of the coated parts in independent laboratories. This ensures the pre-treatment and painting are perfect to suit the GCC climate.


Assembly Lines

• Large assembly hall with the flexibility to run MV Panels as well as Form 2 & Form 4 LV Panels simultaneously

• All assembly lines fully equipped with all necessary tools, jigs, fixtures and other necessary infrastructure

• High Working standards are maintained in all the assembly lines complying with the quality requirements of the products

Al Hassan is one of the few full fledged manufacturers in the GCC with capabilities from product design, system design up to type test and dispatch all under one roof at its factories in Muscat and Buraimi.

With its continued investment in advanced technology, Al Hassan is able to provide state-of-the-art manufacturing and testing facilities. All processes are interlinked using the latest Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. This further enhances the company’s efficiency in generating good quality, safe and reliable products.

Al Hassan Switchgear facilities have been certified under ISO9001:2008, KEMA KEUR for many years. Al Hassan LV Panels are Totally type tested (TTA) as per IEC 60439 standard and certified by world renowned independent laboratories ASTA (UK) and KEMA (Netherlands). Al Hassan MV panels are type tested up to 31.5 kA at KEMA Netherlands.
