AirTight Networks(July 2011 – Dec,2013) (2 years 5 month) | Pune Senior Member of Technical Staff, Engineering As the member of engineering team at Airtight worked with Access Points and wireless Drivers. Mesh : Developed end to end wireless mesh feature for Access points. Linux Firewall : Implemented a layer 4 firewall for all AP platforms at Airtight. The firewall was based on the iptables module. Guest portal : Implemented the guest portal support for Access points. Portal involved capturing the wireless client http requests and displaying a external or internal portal page. Also involved record keeping for all wireless clients. BYOD Onboarding: Implemented a smart phone on boarding feature for corporate networks. Guest portal server: Implemented a entire product to handle authentication and redirection of wireless client from Airtight Hotspot Access points. Academic Projects (For more projects please visit akshaybaheti.info ) Improvements in EAPSIM A Enhanced EAPSIM authentication scheme is proposed which uses IKEv2 to encapsulate the EAP_SIM authentication, thus making it a secure protocol. Go Network Simulator In progress. A virtual network simulator in GO lang to understand sockets and concurrency in GO. Tradeoff analysis in Cloud: Designed a face detection application that performs the face detection function on the mobile device or on the cloud based on the tradeoff decision. The Tradeoff decision is based on an algorithm that takes into account the mobile device battery, computation power, available main memory and network type available. I/O Resource Allocator in Linux(Project Intern at GS Lab): Implemented a method to provide fairly strict I/O control for specific applications and avoid starving of small I/O intensive application. The application allowed user to group processes into groups and allocate a resource to groups based on requirement and priority. New york Parking Big Data Analytics: Analyze New york parking tickets and parking facilities in Hive over Hadoop. The project involved a GoGrid Cloud Setup with 4 client and 1 master server.
