Introduction;

AKSHAY CONTROLS & SYSTEMS PVT LTD (ACSPL) is established in 1996 with its registered office at CBD -

Belapur, Navi Mumbai. Maharashtra, India. We also have service branch at Vizag (Vishakhapatnam).

In 2005, ACSPL have been assessed and approved by Indian Registrar Quality Systems (A Department of

IRS) in accordance with requirements of ISO 9001:2008 with respect to the following scope: "Design,

Manufacture, Supply and Repair of Marine Electronic Equipments and Control Systems".

ACSPL initially focused on meeting the growing demand for a specialist electrical, electronic and control

system repair and servicing company generated by the shipping and offshore activities in Indian Ports.

Over the years the shipping industry at Mumbai grew rapidly and ACSPL also grew to meet the

additional demands as a company that was able to carry out complex electronic control and system

repairs of visiting vessels. By early 2000 ACSPL became well established in the area and built up a

strong customer base which included many Indian and international shipping agents, owners and

operators.

OUR CAPABILITIES :

ACSPL has today developed in house capabilities to provide complete solutions to the customer. Weare completely self sufficient in terms of knowledge right from system design to building the system

and final commissioning of the system. We are transparent and share our complete knowledge base on

the products, applications, regulations, integration and other aspects with the customer.

ACSPL is a name to reckon in the field of import substitution of marine control & automation.

The increasing complexity and integration of electrical & electronic control systems into all types of

process equipment & machinery resulted in increasing demand for the range of services offered and

rapid expansion followed. The experience gained by us over the past decade led to increasing number

of requests from ship owners to provide service cover worldwide. Over the years we have evolved a

wide knowledge base and being located at Mumbai, prompt response at short notice is an added

advantage. Backed by the experience in the marine control and automation field, we are at an added

advantage of being able to understand and discern the root cause of most of the operation &

maintenance (O&M) based technical faults / problems that are faced by our clients. Thus when

approached with a specific problem we are able to diagnose and offer prompt solutions, which gives us

our winning edge.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT :

The R&D team was formed in an endeavor to meet the challenges of developing control and

automation systems and modules indigenously. It offered a working platform to develop, improvise

and innovate along with a self confidence about our capability to deliver products that meet industry

standards.

MODERNIZATION :

Due to the rapid advancement in technology and the changing market and operational requirements,

modernization has become an integral part of any ship building or overhauling operation.

ASCPL also provides spares and repair service to older systems, irrespective of their original

manufacturer and age. We specialize in repairing (or re-designing) old and often obsolete marine

control and automation products.

ABOUT OUR RETROFIT THRUSTER CONTROL PROJECTS:-

From our past twenty year experience in various marine controls, it is observed that most of the

mechanical gear boxes / assembly remain in working condition for years together, but electronic

controls often give trouble after eight to ten years. Most of the time OEM agents recommend the

complete replacement of the system at an exorbitant price with longer lead time. That is where ACSPL

can come in to replace only the control component thus optimizing time and cost. Basically our attempt

is to help the Indian ship owners to give cost effective, economical solution with minimum down time.

Most importantly we give one year offsite warranty for our products as mentioned in our offer letter.

This product has been designed to work with popular thruster systems Wärtsilä, Lips, Rolls-Royce,

Kamewa, Bird-Johnson, Ulstein, Berg, Brunvoll, Schotte etc.

We have developed in house capabilities to provide complete solutions to the customer right fromsystem design to building the system and its final commissioning. Most of the products which we have

developed are equivalent to replace obsolete spares. Availability of required spares brings the vessels

down time to minimum with minimum repair charge. This is advantageous because in absence of

required spares major replacement of old system with new system leads to extra down time and

money.
