My last position in Singapore, took me away from my home country but provided manyopportunities to explore Singapore and many Asian countries.

At home I enjoy the company of my family and friends. I recognise that this is essential for enjoyinglife and being successful in a foreign country as an expatriate.

From a young age I have enjoyed sport and the competition associated with it.My favourite sport was judo, where I received South African Provincial Colours and participated inseveral National and Provincial championships.

Other keen sporting interests are 42.2 km marathons and +/- 89km ultra-marathons. My highestachievements in athletics was competing in and completing the Comrades Marathon ultra-marathons on fourteen occasions.

During my Civil Engineering degree, I was elected as manager and instructor atNatal Universityfor the South African Judo Association. Our judo team won several competitions on State andNational level, as well as being selected for judo to represent South Africa. After completing my Civil Engineering degree in South Africa, I had a strong communityinvolvement with the Reserve Police Diving Unit. I volunteered my time in training, lecturing

and organising training events, as well as being on standby for police rescue work.

I am highly self-motivated as an individualandthe dynamics of working within a team or alongsideothers of the same mind when the opportunity arises. This is especially true for project based work.
