We like to acknowledge the Palyku people, the
traditional custodians of this land where we work
and live today. We pay our respects to Elders past
and present. We further acknowledge the culture
and traditions of Indigenous peoples on this land
and commit to building a brighter future together.
C O N T E N T S
In 2006, AK Evans was conceived, diversifying into a company that delivers end-to-end civil equipment hire and labour resourcing services. Today, we have grown to become the largest one-stop source for plant hire, machine operators, equipment servicing and transportation in the State. Our fleet extends to more than 100 pieces of plant, all of which are company-owned and maintained, giving us the agility to rapidly respond to the needs of civil construction projects of any size.
Our business endeavours also include Maramara, a joint venture partnership, which creates work opportunities for local indigenous people, and AK Renewables catering to the project needs of solar and wind farms.
Our company was etched on the belief that building trusted collaborative partnerships and doing what we say, would not only serve us well but also benefit our customers and community.
Across all our business divisions, safety is a core focus. We have stringent protocols to support our work safe, home safe mantra, and that every member of our team goes home in the same condition in which they arrive.
While we are Pilbara-based, with an office in Perth, we can deliver our services Australia-wide.
AK Evans Group has a long and proud history in Western Australia’s North West. Our origins stem back to mid‑1990 when Aaron Evans and his partner, Kylie, purchased a modest excavator to work the growing construction sector in the Pilbara region.

WET HIRE CIVIL CONSTRUCTION PLANTFrom the outset, our vision was to become more than a source
for plant and equipment. Instead, we built our reputation on
being a dependable multi-service provider of optimum plant,
highly skilled civil operators, reliable workshop facilities and
efficient transport services. By delivering end-to-end solutions,
we can provide customers with greater economies of scale and productivity efficiencies.
Our know-how of the Pilbara terrain is unrivalled. Our boots on the ground means we can respond to your needs with expertise, speed and accuracy.

Because of our proven track record that spans more than 15 years, we’ve become a trusted partner to many of the most prominent civil construction and contracting and mining companies.
We work to a number of contracting models dependent on the requirements including overall project management, sub-contractor and wet/dry equipment provisioning. Our services comprise road
construction, clearing and earthworks, maintenance of road and rail infrastructure, mine rehabilitation, waste remediation, dam construction and minor works. All approaches remain the same; we provide ready access to an extensive selection of civil equipment, which is supported by highly skilled people who know the local environments.

To meet new market demands, we have organically expanded our offering into the renewable energy sector. We have built a robust capability in solar and wind farm civil construction works, with our experience comprising several projects across Australia.
While we can supply high-quality plant and the people to undertake earthworks and grading, we can also be engaged as
the project manager to create better efficiencies. In the project management capacity, we oversee on-site operations, procurement, sub-contractor management and resourcing, streamlining the construction and installation process.

The name Maramara means “Two Hands” and captures the spirit of the enterprise. The joint venture partnership is between AK Evans Group and Kurtarra Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned indigenous family business whose mission is to create a legacy for the Palyku people.
Maramara has been operating in the Pilbara for more than a decade and has ISO accreditation for its safety, environment and quality management systems. The company actively recruits, develops and retains indigenous talent and has successfully been providing the workforce requirements for many AK Evans projects.
Maramara is a civil contracting company underpinned by indigenous leadership and workforce engagement. The company was formed from the belief that we can make a difference to the local Aboriginal communities by creating employment opportunities and long‑lasting value.

While our involvement can span the supply of earthworks and top-quality machinery, this is only a small part of our delivery. Our experience is best maximised when we are engaged for the entire project, taking responsibility for the construction, installation and mechanical works as well as mobilising our competent resources.
We have established strategic partnerships across Australia, meaning we can bring our expertise to you, no matter the location of your solar or wind farm.
AK Evans is gaining prominence in the developing renewable energy sector, having delivered the civil and mechanical construction services for several large and small‑scale solar farm projects.
