Dr. Ravindra Nanda is Professor Emeritus, Former UConn Alumni Endowed Chair and Head of the Department of Craniofacial Sciences and Division of Orthodontics, University of Connecticut, Farming-ton, Connecticut, U.S.A. Dr. Nanda is the author and co-author of seven orthodontic books and more than two hundred and fifty scientific and clinical articles in major journals. He is Editor-in-Chief of Progress in Orthodontics. He is on the editorial board of ten differ-ent national and international orthodontic journals. He is also an associate editor of Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.He is an active member of various organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, European Orthodontic Society and Edward H. Angle Society.

Kentucky native Dr. L. Douglas Knight has been prac-ticing orthodontics since 1995. After receiving his under graduate and dental degrees from the University of Kentucky, he joined the Army Dental Corps, where he served for 7 years in several military assignments. He practiced General Dentistry for seven years before attending a two-year orthodontic residency program at New York University, where he earned his Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Knight lectures frequently on topics such as skeletal ancho-rage plates and dentoalveolar distraction osteogenesis (DDO). He is a recipi ent of the Pacesetter Award from the Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontists (RWISO) and recently was named one of the nation’s top dentists by Woodward/White, a highly respected publishing firm.

Patrick McKeown is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin. In 2002, Patrick completed his clinical training in the Buteyko Breathing Method at the Buteyko Clinic, Mo-scow, Russia. This training was accredited by Professor Konstantin Buteyko. Having suffered from asthma, rhi-nitis and sleep-disordered breathing for over 20 years, Patrick is able to offer both theoretical knowledge and his own experiences to help clients to overcome similar challenges. To date, Patrick has written seven books and produced two DVD sets on the Buteyko Method, including three Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk best-sellers: Close Your Mouth, Asthma-Free Naturally, and Anxiety Free: Stop Worrying and Quieten your Mind. His latest book ,The Oxygen Advantage, improves sports performance by addressing dysfunctional breathing patterns and simulating high altitude training.
