The MS series of airport snow plows have been specifically developed for the fast and residue-free removal of snow from airport runways, taxiways and airfield aprons. Schmidt's innovative obstacle override system enables it to easily overcome surface obstacles, such as concrete irregularities or ground lights.

The Design MS plows are special multi-blade snow plows with high and low blade levels, based on the successful design of the TARRON snow plow series. Each blade is 31 inches (800 mm) wide and easily adapts to the surface to be cleared. Depending on the cutting blade length, which ranges from 15 feet 9 inches to 26 feet 3 inches (4,800 mm to 8,000 mm), MS plows are configured with six to ten blades, each of them fitted with a special Vulkollan clearing edge set at a 45° angle. In the reduced blade height option, the blade is 8 inches (220 mm) lower at left, middle and right. The shape of the clearing bladeis designed to eject the snow far away, even at a lower feed rate,making the MS ideal for clearing large areas in formation.

Residue-free Snow Clearing The special MS series of plows are designed to clear down to the black pavement. Each of the 31-inch (800 mm) wide blades is held in position by two reinforced springs, and three on the outer blade segments. The optional fine finish blade removes any remaining snow and reduces the need for de-icing agents.

The low blade height allows the addition of an ejection barrier, preventing the unwanted deposit of snow in sensitive areas of airfield aprons. The two hydraulic-driven and stepless adjustable segments can be operated individually or simultaneously. The tight seal between the blade and the barrier guarantees surfaces will be residue-free every time. The ejection barrier folds up and out of the field of vision when not needed.

High Degree of ManeuverabilityThe MS 72.1 and 80.1 plows are also available with folding outer blades, reducing the passage width to 15 feet and 15 feet 9 inches(4,560 mm and 4,860 mm) respectively. This increases maneuver-ability and allows you to reach your destination without difficulty. The automatic blade position control provides an added guarantee of error-free operation. Also available is the quick-change system for fast and easy disconnection of the plow blade and frame from the lifting device and vehicle.

Safe Operation The precise parallel lifting mechanism for raising, lowering and swiveling the blade provides a safe ground clearance while in transport and allows for tension-free swiveling and a short front end. The hydraulic empty drive element also increases to safe handling of the plow.
