10. AUTOMATIC AIR DRYER - SECO2008 - SECO2013

Technical features:This patented system was invented to preserve air quality directlyon the machine or on short distribution lines (maximum 8 metersguaranteed). It is recomended not to install it close to the compres-sor or anyway make sure that the inlet air temperature does notexceed 50°C. If installed before the air treatment unit, it blockswater condensation almost completely, and expels also oil andsolid particles. This extremely simple product does not requiremaintenance, it does not cause energy consumption, andbrings about no pressure and flow losses.

Working fields:In workshops, bodyshops, tyre repairers, in order to protect thedelicate pneumatic tools, and wherever problems occur that arecaused by impurities found in the pneumatic tubes. Useful also onvehicles (trucks, busses, operating machines) and in all thoseworking places where the temperature variation causes bigamounts of condensation.

Working principle:Its working is based on simple principles of thermodynamics offluids. The dew point detected at 1 bar is -15°/ ISO 8573-1 (class 3-4) with respect to the temperature of the incoming air. The processof condensation’s separation and air drying is made up of a fewsteps: 1) Increase of the air speed, which generates a vacuum anda decrease in the temperature of the compressed air. 2) Air expan-sion and lamination, which carry out a further removal of condensa-tion. 3) Cyclonic effect, which separates oil, solid particles and thecondensation that may have newly formed. 4) Draining of thesecontaminants through the automatic drain, which is located in thebowl.
