Pasco County adjoins the Tampa Bay area on the central Gulf Coast. The fire department serves over 470,000 residents, excluding seasonal residents to the popular winter haven. The department operates 28 stations and employs 420 paid firefighters and paramedics, plus 210 volunteers.

LEFT: The LED light tower is recessed into the roof to protect it from low hanging Live Oak trees prevalent in the county. RIGHT: The electric awning on the rear provides shade from the sweltering central Florida heat and protection from frequent thunderstorms during SCBA refill operations. Two SCBA’s and sixteen spare SCBA bottles are stored in the rear compartment. A slide-out desk in provided in the front compartment with storage for tools beneath to facilitate on-site SCBA repairs.

The generator control panel provides a 150-amp service panel facing the operator, placement for the light tower remote control and portable handlights. The compressor purification chambers are on a slide-out rail to facilitate simple cartridge replacement. A slide-out step is provided under the front compartment for easy access to equipment stored in the large upper compartment area.
