What is Non-Framework Funding?• The principal EU funding programme for

research is the Framework Programme, currently FP7

• Other programmes fund research-related, higher education and innovation activities

• operate under the multiannual financial framework, so many of the current programmes run from 2007-2013 alongside FP7

Non-Framework Funding• Funding that is outside of FP7 is

referred to as Non-Framework Programme (Non-FP)

• Different programmes are managed by different Directorates General (DGs)

• Different application, administrative and financial rules and procedures
