This is the time to see how the AIESEC network makes its power stronger in order to connect people to create huge Im-pact! I truly believe this year is going to be the breakthrough year for your EP´s and Barranquilla, and I want to participate in this epic evolution your country is about to come!

Supporting this project will totally change my city’s reality and will contribute with itsdevelopment and progress. Now, having more than 100 EPs participating of this project willreally make it more powerful and I’m totally sure it’s going to be successful by the end of this summer achieving the goals the project has and changing more than 100 lives.Your exchange participants will get to know my city, Barran-quilla, and the cities around like Cartagena and Santa Marta.. All that involves Latin American and Colombian Culture, its diversity, kind people, beautiful landscapes, dancing, food, ho-lydays.. as we say: Colombia, the only risk is wanting to stay!

The main capital of the Caribbean Coast has become the door of joy, color and open arms.Since the late nineteenth century wascharacter-ized by being the country’s mainport where travelers came and went soBarranquilla became to be known as theGolden Gate of COLOMBIA.

An incredible architectural beauty, sur-rounded by beautiful natural land es-capes, streetsgilded by the sun and sand, spontaneity and joy of the people of the Caribbean, made fromBarranquilla ideal destination to enjoy the tranquil-ity of its beautiful beaches and wealthcultural, which opens the way for Colombia’s big-gest party: THA CARNIVALS!

1) ABOUT BARRANQUILLA

What place can you visit?

Caribbean Museum: It´s the first museum in the country with regional structure and innovative exhibitions. Its central theme is the Colombian Caribbean in its environ-mental, historical and cultural. The Museum offers a space to strengthen the identity and the reconstruc-tion of a regional imaginary. It presents the cultural, historical memory of its people and encourages reflection about the envi-ronment, territory and the importance of the latter in the development of the region.

Bocas de Ceniza:It´ s the point of Magdalena River in the Caribbean Sea. A small tourist train takes you along a stone path between the sea and the river to the end point where the river ends. It´s a magical place by the mixture of colors in the water and especially to admire the wonders of nature. Also, you can stay for lunch in Las Flores neighborhood and test house specialty: fish! while you relax watching the river and feeling the wind.

3) ABOUT GLOBAL CITIZEN

Global Citizen is Colombia’s national brand to delivery massive and successful projects that will change many lives around the world. AIESEC in Colombia works with different ways to impact our society and our main goal is to change your live through our project. The concept of Global Citzen is to form better people more conscious of world’s prob-lems and to give a different perspective of how we can be change agents in our day by day.

In order to achieve this purpose, Global Citizen has three different projects:

•APRENDO•WE SPEAK•EMBAJADOR GLOBAL•HUELLAS EN ACCIÓN

APRENDO

In this project…You will facilitate workshops for primary school students (3º to 5º grade) and sec-ondary school students (6º to 8º grade and 9º to 11º grade) in public/private schools using Spanish or English. • You develop 2 topics that the school chooses in four weeks. Each topic will be developed in 2 classes per week for 2 weeks per course group.• The themes of the workshops are: cultural Diversity, effective communication, creativity, arts, dynamics, and exploration.• You will be responsible to plan and develop each workshop you deliver. The LC will provide supporting materials via Book-

lets, online presentations or trainings with Externals, LC members or Alumni.• AIESEC will provide housing and the TN Taker will provide food and/or transpor-tation. You are going to live in an AIESEC member house or in a family house. AIESEC in Colombia will constantly measure your satisfaction about our internship, so you can please contact us in any case. We will also invite you to work as an AIESEC member. If you want you are more than welcome.• You will learn How to make a positive impact in the society through social pro-ject’s. The opportunity to develop of practi-cal skills and to execute a real project with social approach.

WE SPEAK!

In this project...

You must prepare sessions and workshops about cultural and language topics. Each day is a different workshop for the language and cultural lessons.You must prepare conversational spaces at least once each week of the project, putting into practice the knowledge that students have learned throughout each week.

You must schedule meetings with language teachers once a week, and ask for feed-back about the workshops, and to develop and deliver the material to the teachers of the institution.

You must bring some country typical ele-ments (specially food, music, dances, maps,

clothes), and prepare a Global Village with students at the end of the project, showing what students learned about culture and language.

AIESEC will provide housing and the TN Taker will provide food and/or transporta-tion to the work. You are going to live in an AIESEC member house or in a family house. AIESEC in Colombia will constantly measure your satisfaction about our internship, so you can please contact us in any case. We will also invite you to work as an AIESEC member. You will adquire experience in the education sector, specifically on the teaching of a sec-ond language. You will improve your skills in: Training skills, Presentation skills, Facilitation skills, Group Management , Teaching skills.

EMBAJADOR GOLBAL

In this project…You will facilitate workshops for university students between 17 and 25 years old in (public/private) universities using (Spanish/English) as main language.

You’ll be delivering workshops per week for 6 weeks. You’ll have to prepare one work-shop on one theme per week. There may be several Global Villages throughout the project.

The themes of the workshops are Sustain-ability, Entrepreneurship, economic trends, globalization, international marketing, global politics, strategic management, innovation, management processes.

You will be responsible to plan each work-shop you deliver, lead a discussion about

the topics after each of them and make a survey to the group. The LC will provide supporting materials via Booklets, reference, online presentations or trainings with Exter-nals, LC members or Alumni.

AIESEC will provide housing and the TN Taker will provide food and/or transporta-tion to the work. You are going to live in an AIESEC member house or in a family house. AIESEC in Colombia will constantly measure your satisfaction about our internship, so you can please contact us in any case. We will also invite you to work as an AIESEC member. HUELLAS EN ACCIÓN

About this project, you can work in 6 different areas that you can choose depending of your skills and professional education.

Focus on Vertical Communication (upward and descendant), Horizontal Communication; Writing Channels, Speech Chan-nels, Audiovisual Channels. The trainee is free to use any type of methodology, however according to the project manager trainee should achieve the success factors.

Execute the action plan with excellent and follow the methodology of the project manager.Elaborate every Friday the report required by the project managerMake a final report for the NGO and AIESEC with a final presentation for the NGO and to the VP iGCDP of the LC.

3.MARKET RESEARCHTrainee will…

Design an action plan for 6 weeks. Focus on target Analysis, economics

characteristic of target, target Profile, market analysis (SWOT), produce/service analysis, product Impact. Focus on the logistics and design resources, organization outlets, how to manage dispensers and transport of raw ma-terials and design of support material for develop it.
