“We will either find a way, or make one!”


We entered in 2011/2012 mandate! And we did it very successfully! A Grant from the Municipality is won for the second time in a row! We had awesome Teambuilding of LC Varna! We created the Plan and the Budget of the LC, we set our Goals for the term! Simply we are the LC of the Sharks, right! Our vision is to challenge ourselves to achieve more.

And we have the mission to contribute more to the development of young people.

See what else happened in our LC and what we are up to. Because of our newly recruited members during the Exchange Your Vacation Initiative, in the rows below you can find short explanation of some abbreviations, which we often use: - LCP – Local Committee President - F – functional area Finance - ER – functional area External Relations - TM – Talent Management - X – Exchange - Comm – Communications - EB – Executive board - VP – Vice President - MC – Member Committee (= National management team)


The moment of the LCP What happened so far: LC plan creation; Participation in National Leadership Body meeting; Participation in General Assembly in Sofia – voting the new MC team and changes

in the Internal rules of AIESEC Bulgaria; Support of the VPs in their activities; EB education day was organized and delivered. The goal was each one of the EB is

competent in all the functional areas; Meetings with Municipality; Meetings with local NGOs; Raising TNs for our summer projects; What is next to happened: Meeting with the new Dean. Introducing AIESEC to him. Launching Corporate TN raising campaign, as part of national raising competition. Making LC Plan more detailed Beginning of First summer project – “I am volunteer. How about you?” and

execution of Grant; Launching OGX promotional campaign; Regular EB meetings;

The moment of the Finance What happened so far: Separate budget for every one Functional area was created and will be strictly

followed;


Master budget of LC Varna was made and approved by MC and the members of the LC on General Assembly. The Master budget is the practical measurement of the goals;

Meeting with MC for discussing the Finance policy for the term; The budget and the budget explanation of the project “I am volunteer. How about

you?” were approved by the Municipality, not cut.

What`s next to happen:

80% of the budget for the project, financed by the Municipality will be transferred;.

Tracking of the expenditures for the Grant; Accountability before MC for May;

The moment of the ER What happened so far:

Goal setting for the External relation area for the term; Final meetings with the partners form Business in Practice; First meeting with ER team;

What`s next to happen:

Summer ER raising campaign; Meetings with current partners of LC Varna for negotiating for General

partners; Raising of partners for our second summer project-The battle of the east 3.

The moment of the ТМ


What happened till now:

Allocation of the people, recruited from the Spring recruitment; Teambuilding - games, sun, beer and descusions of local plans and national

changes; We chose the OC team for the project "I'm a volunteer. How about you?".

Emo – OCP, Plamena and Stanislav – OC. Two more guys form our partner organization Youth Information Volunteery center are participating.

What's next to happen:

On-going recruitment - promoting the summer intership with Comm and OGX; interviews;

Opening OC and OCP positons for TBTE 3. Stay tuned!

The moment of the COMM What happened so far:

Arranged EB member participation in an international TV channel; Received reinforcements and trained them (Krasimira and Plamena) Started the promotion of ongoing recruitment campaign (OGX booklet) Created LC Varna's thematic diversification (LC Sharks logo, slogan,

LC shout) - this is yet to be finished What's next to happen: Ongoing recruitment - updating and promoting Acquaint LC Varna members with LC Sharks thematic shout, logo etc.


The moment of the OGX

May matches:

Maria Georgieva was matched for an amazing development traineeship in MAURITIUS! She will be working with children and enjoying the sun thanks to her persistency and fast reaction!

Iva Arnaudova – after being on a DT, now she is matched for a MT in AIESEC Kiel for the project Business Contact!

Krasimira Mihaylova was also matched for Business Contact in Kiel. Congratulations to her too!

Yanitsa Dimova is going on a management traineeship also in Germany, AIESEC Bremen and she will be working in the field of Business Administration.

Ongoing activity of the EPs

What’s next to happen:

We are working hard together with Comm team for the promotion of the ongoing recruitment

We are offering you some amazing traineeships in exotic places and sunny countries, where you can spend your summer ! So if you still don’t have plans for the long vacation go on exchange and spend 6 amazing weeks abroad!!

The moment of the ICX time:


What happened so far: The OC team for the 1st summer project “I am a VOLUNTEER. What about

you?” is selected. They will start work till the end of June and it is planned to realize the project in the beginning of the July

We have 6 matched EPs for the project “I am a VOLUNTEER. What about you?” – They are from Japan, Singapore, Finland, Hungary, Poland and Czech Republic.

We have 1 realized EP for the project “Hand in Hand” – Rihan form China came on 21st May and now she is working hard for realizing its goals.

What is next to happen:

We are going to match 2 more EPs for the project “I am a VOLUNTEER. What about you?”, which are already selected.

Uploading 8 TN forms for the second summer project “The Battle of The East 3”

Raising EPs from all over the world for the second project. Other interesting stuff…

We had our traditional Teambuilding of the LC. We were in very nice place in Vazrajdane neighborhood. We had plenty of games, kebapcheta, beer and cake. Of course we understood what the goals of the LC are for the next term.

Also we have an amazing intern form China – Rihan. She is working in house Gavrosh and she is staying in Bulgaria till the end of the month. So far she is in love with Bulgaria and the Bulgarian banichki. She even wants to take the recipe for it and to make them back in China.
