NEWS FROM THE COUNTRY

In October an historical event in AIESEC Norway history took place. On the 30th of October, the National Excecutive Board [MCP and LCPs] voted for accepting University of Bergen as our 5th entity of AIESEC in Norway. AIESEC UiB is currently an exten-sion of AIESEC Norway and is working toward gaining full member status in the next year. The MC is especially giving their recog-nition and congratulations to AIESEC NHH and their expansion team lead by Thao. Two of our beloved LCPs, Charlotte S and Sophie, were representing AIESEC Norway together with Andreas at EuroCo in Prague this October. Not only was EuroCo a chance for the LCPs to connect and network with over 200 LCPs from all over the world, but in their luggage their also came home with proposals for LC 2 LC cooperations to support our exchange pro-jects this year. The National Executive Board is in these days working on finishing the LCP and EB election and selection timeline which will be released 15th of November. The main idea is that every LC will have simultaneously LCP and EB elections to create a country wide excitement around our new EBs. In addition the MC and the LCPs are working on revising the membership criteria of AIESEC in Norway in order for it to support further growth of the organization. Currently the MC is restructuring some of their financial and legal operations and from 1st of December the MC is starting to do their own accounting. For that we are working with Mamut Software, one of our previous exchange partners, for a sponsorship versus employer branding partnership package. In the package we are not only working with sealing an accountancy software deal, but also other exciting features which you hopefully will get to hear more from later. The MC is also in the process of starting their external audit for both last financial year as well as our last Fk project. For that we are working with our new external auditor - Vidi Revisjon. Nordic Killer Weeks have started!!! The sales competition between the Nordic countries: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland. Norway is in the lead after the first day of the 3 weeks competition. Last but not least, Andreas [Conference Manager] and Didi [Agenda Manager] is working with AIESEC BI in starting the prepa-ration of UNITE 2012 in January. More updates on the conference will be released ongoingly throughout the whole of November and December month. AIESEC BI is looking forward to welcoming each and every member of AIESEC in Norway to Oslo 12-15th of January 2012. The MC is looking forward for exchange updates and results in the country for November month. Both in GIP and GCDP we are achieving results at the moment and we are preparing ourselves now for November which is all about: RAISING TNs and EPs. If we want to realize our exchanges in January/February, the raisings needs to happen in this month. All the efforts we have been putting in our teams for October should accumulate into raised forms in ICX and OGX this month. November is the raising month of AIESEC in Norway and in the following you will see the LC goals for the month in terms of rais-ing and matching:

Goals GIP OGX November: Raised: 9 Matched: 4

Goals GCDP OGX November: Raised: 92 Matched: 47

Goals GIP ICX November: Raised: 23 Matched: 5

Goals GCDP ICX November: Raised: 13 Matched: 12
