Onshore Oil Operations(ADCO); BAB – E & P, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Elected as a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers IMechE-
UK on November 2013 and authorized by the Engineering Council UK
as Chartered Engineer on December 2013.
Achieved the level-5 of career ladder expert starting from April, 2011
with higher level of authorities in mechanical engineering assuming the
reference point/ authority in Mechanical engineering for BAB field
project engineering team and provides guidance and support to
engineers in the discipline for all projects undertaken by BAB
engineering team. Evaluate the proposed PMC and consultant
discipline candidates for EPC projects. Direct and coordinate the
activities of the mechanical engineers. Participates/ provide input into
the division business plan.
Major Projects Accomplished:
BAB Integrated Facilities Project – Concept & FEED
The project includes developing ADCO surface facilities to produce
additional 30K BOPD from new reserves of Th.A and TH.H zones and
sustain the production of 450K BOPD through the Updip and Attic new
zones. The project also involves the introduction of wells drilling pads
for gathering and testing facilities and a new central processing plant
that consists of liquid receiving facilities, two liquid processing
separation trains with 200MBOPD total oil production capacity, gas
compressions trains, atmospheric storage tanks, produced water
treatment and associated pipelines network for the gathering and
export facilities. The responsibilities included preparation of terms of
references; perform technical bid evaluation for the conceptual stage,
FEED and EPC stages, and carryout technical bid evaluation for the
project management team and assess/interview the mechanical
disciplines team members. Participate into the project’s milestone
review sessions during the conceptual and FEED stages. review and
establish the project’s design basis, engineering deliverables, resolve
all design issues related to the new production pad concept and
routing of the pipelines network and coordinate with the master plan
team for finalizing the location of drilling pads providing clear
instructions to the feed consultant on the way forward.

Habshan-1 Field Development Project.
Accomplished the Conceptual study, FEED and EPC stages and carry
out the technical bid evaluation for the EPC contractor and the PMC
bid; evaluate and select the PMC mechanical discipline team members.
Undertake the responsibilities of Mechanical engineering discipline
through the management of change provide technical support to the
project team during the technical evaluation for long lead items and
review vendor deliverables for static and rotating equipment.
The project objective is the deliver additional production oil capacity of
30M BOPD. The project consists of oil producer wells, gathering
manifolds, MPFM testing facility, 20Km transfer pipeline to the liquid
processing plant and 3 high-pressure water injection clusters with
injection wells.
BAB CO2 Injection Pilot Project.
Accomplished the FEED stage; carry out the technical bid evaluation for
mechanical scope of work for the EPC contractor and the PMC bid,
evaluate and select the PMC mechanical discipline team. Provide
technical support, participate in milestone review sessions and assess/
evaluate technical deviations during the EPC stage. The project consists
of installing about 70Km size 8”high pressure rated 287barg pipeline
for injecting the dense phase CO2 into 2 injection clusters alternating
with injection water and gathering pipelines for transferring the
produced oil from two new wells to the field-gathering manifold and
testing facilities.
Replacement of RDS-3 Transfer Line Project.
Accomplished the FEED and EPC for the installation of about 15Km 18"
transfer line with launcher/ receiver pigging facilities and tie-in with
existing facilities for multiphase hydrocarbons sour service.
BAB North Additional Three Water Injection Clusters.
Accomplished the FEED and EPC stages carried out by specialized
contractors for the installation of three high-pressure water injection
clusters. Each facility includes high-pressure water injection pump, 2
chemical injection packages, tie-in with supply water well, water
injection header and flowlines to injection wells.
BAB Artificial Lift Gas Injection Pilot Project.

Construction stages carried out by specialized contractors for two pilot
gas lift wells. The project includes gas wellhead injection piping,
chemical injection package, pressure let down control station, U/G gas
supply pipeline with tie-in from existing gas distribution trunkline and
tie-n with existing oil producer wellhead piping.
Habshan-2 & Thamama-G Field Development Project.
Objective is to add 80,000BOPD to current production capacity.
Involves the tie-in of more than 40wells with pipelines connected to
new remote gathering stations and transfer lines to the main
processing station. Participate in the technical bid evaluation for the
EPC contractor and the PMC bid; evaluate and select the PMC
mechanical discipline team. Provide technical support during project
execution evaluating technical deviations, leading the 3D model
reviews and approve the close out actions.
Managerial Role.
Act as the engineering manager under taking divisional engineering
responsibilities whenever the Engineering manager is unavailable,
leading the team of senior discipline engineers, participate in
management related coordination and review meetings on division
milestones and project progress.
Plant Modification Requests.

BuHasa North Shouaiba Water Injection Clusters Project.
The scope involves the preparation of data sheets, specifications and
material requisition for 5 clusters high-pressure water injection pumps
and the scope of work and terms of reference for the consultant to
prepare the front-end engineering design.
South Shouaiba Gas Lift and WAG Pilot Project.
The project scope includes the installation of well gas injection surface
facilities for 10 oil producers along with more than 30km gas injection
pipelines network and pressure letdown station.
Buhasa Field Development Project.
The project involves the upgrade and replacement of the existing
central processing and production facilities at BuHasa Field. The
responsibilities included reviewing mechanical deliverables, prepare &
evaluate contractor scope for variation orders, resolve technical queries.
Assigned as PMT Senior Mechanical Engineer and carry out following
up/ monitoring of construction works, carry out inspection on static
equipment and machinery pumps, participate in preparing punch list
and pre-commissioning activities.
Gas Injection Wells (Bu-511, 512 & 514).
The project includes the procurement and installation of wellhead
control panel and high-pressure injection facility along with injection
flowlines extended from existing gas injection pipeline.
Huwaila Field Development Project.
Installation of a remote wells gathering manifold with multiphase
pumping station and 10", 27Km transfer P/L for fluid transport to the
nearest remote gathering station in Buhasa field.

Responsible pipeline/ project engineer for the engineering and
construction of the size 10” propylene 8Km P/L from the propylene
ship tanker-receiving berth to the propylene receiving storage tanks at
the Egyptian Polypropylene Plant site.
New Propylene Storage Sphere Tank and its associated systems.
Achieve the project engineer responsibilities. Placing the purchase
order for the 19m diameter propylene spherical storage tank, civil
works, procurement and installation of piping works, tie-ins with
existing systems, extension of fire water ring, deluge sprinkler system
and pre-commissioning activities.
Re-location of Egyptian Polypropylene Plant EPP Construction Site.
Undertake the project engineer responsibilities for coordinating the
