What will I see from the sky deck?This is the best overview of Chicago at 1,353 ft. the

sky deck is the highest observatory in Chicago.

The Willis Tower previously known as the Sears Tower is lo-cated on Wacker Dr. in the middle of the west loop. This is home to some of Chicago’s largest coop-eration’s. Willis Tower has 10 sto-ries. The building consists of ap-proximately 3.8 million rentable

square feet and approximately 159,000 square feet of retail space. It also features a 160 car executive parking garage. Other features in-clude world class broadcast plat-form, tallest deck, full service con-ference center, fitness facility, and other technology features.

The Willis Tower was com-pleted May 3, 1973 it rises to the height of 1,450 feet and it is one of the most recognizable building of the Chicago skyline. Willis Tower held the record of being the tall-est building for 25 years. In 1982, the antennas where added to the

building which increased its total height to 1,704 feet. In 2000, one of the building’s antennas was extended to 1,729 feet, which made the tower higher than the World Trade Center by one foot and also making it the world’s tallest

building to the tip of its antenna. The building held this title until early 2009 when Burj Dubai topped out at over 2,600 feet, making it the tallest man-made structure ever built. Weather or not the building is the tallest, its skydeck is one of the most visited places in chicago.

Navy PierLocated at Lake Michigan

Navy Pier first opened in 1916. Navy Pier was originally designed for shipping purposes. The overall construction of Navy Pier was $4.5 million. Until 1995 Navy Pier was reborn to year round enter-tainment of over 8 million visitors per year. This is one of the most well known places maybe because it has many attractions. It is fun for all ages. This includes 50 acres of parks, gardens, shops, restau-rant, boats, and even theater. Navy Pier displays a show of fireworks starting Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend all Wednesdays and Saturdays There are also many restaurants so you can dine in. There are also many shops starting of with gifts and collection to souvenirs or simply apparel. You can purchase tickets on line or also at Navy Pier so you can check out some fun packags.

ImaxThe Imax is one of the biggest at-tractions in Navy Pier it has a 440

seating area. It features a large movie screen that is 60 by 80 ft designed for

2D and 3D films.

Millennium ParkRandolph St. & Michigan Avenue

The construction for Grant Park began in 1917. The park is 24.5 acres. In those acres there are many activities that happen there like concerts, family fun festivals, and a lot of music. Mil-lennium Park opened since 2004 and millions of people have vis-ited it making it one of Chicago’s most visited places. “The Shinny Bean” is one of the most attractive things from the Millennium Park. It weights 110 tons and it is 66 ft long and 33 ft high. Because of its shinny look most people most people love to take pictures from

all the angels possible. This is one fun bean to photograph. It also has an ice rink that is open from November 12 to March 15 this is if the weather allows it. Skating is free, rental is $10.

This park also has some of the city’s most famous projects. It consists of many features like the Jay Pritzker Pavillion where there is over 4,000 fixed seats plus lawn seating. There is also the crown fountain. This is a transparent 50 ft tall tower of bricks. Then we have the Lurie Garden this garden has perennials, bulbs, grasses, shrubs,

and trees. Then we have the BP Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge crosses Columbus Drive and it connects to the Daley Bicenten-nial Plaza also located in the park. Then there is theWrigley Square it is a public square located in the northwest section of the park. Then there is the Harris Theater for the performing arts. The Ex-elon Pavilions are a set of four so-lar energy structures. Then there is the McDonald’s Cycle Center it is a 300 space heated or air con-ditioned indoor bicycle parking space. There is also the Boeing

Galleries which is a pair of outdoor exhibition spaces. There are so many places to visit during your trip to the Millennium Park so be sure to check them all out. Visitors are welcome to stop at the Millennium Park Welcome Center their first stop at the Park wherespecialists are available to help

The wide sidewalks, are often well taken care of and main-taned with flowerbeds which are always crowded. The areas around the Magnificent Mile are some of Chicago’s most famous shopping centers. It is a mile to walk for all people and ages. Michigan Avenue is known for the Magnificent Mile. Take a walk down the magnificent mile, which are many full blocks to explore. There is over 400 hundred stores. There is also fine dinning at over 200 restaurants, there is also over 50 hotels. You can experience Michigan Ave by foot or by trolley. One of the most important places in the magnificent mile is the wa-ter tower and the John Hancock center which includes which has a beautiful Signature room where you can enjoy a great cocktail. There is also the Water Tower this is another great place to visit be-cause it has many stores inside.

The mile is also serviced by seasonal trolley service along the street, and the foot of the Magnifi-cent Mile is serviced by seasonal water transit services. Two blocks west along State Street, the Chica-go train is a rapid transit services the via train has its Red Line. Pe-destrian traffic abounds along the sidewalks that which are shielded by mature greenery that provides much of the friendly atmosphere.
