Minutes of the AGM held at Hall H science city, Kolkota dated 28th Dec, 2012.

Meeting was called to order by Dr. Subodh Varshney, President ACRSI.

Minutes of the last AGM was read by Hon. Secretary Dr. Suradkar

Jaipur conference Dr. Suradkar informed the gathering that inspite of repeated reminders to Dr. Dinesh Shah & his CA regarding substanciating the expenses made by him, they have failed to respond. Dr. Suradkar informed the gathering that the executive committee has decided in their Dubai meet that such persons who indulge in financial irregularities should be black listed & should not be allowed to participitate in any activity of association including office bearers post. This was unanimously supported by everyone & was passed by majority

Dr. chiwate informed that Dr. Sanjeev Haribhakti has deducted Rs. 2 lakh from the profit of Ahmedabad conference & since we are section of ASI, we are exempted from paying the tax. He requested that those Rs. 2 lakh should be deposited with ACRSI.

The combined training course in coloproctology would be held at IMS, BHU Banaras from 3rd to 7th April 2013. Dr. Ajay Khanna & Dr. Somprakash Basu are the organizing chairman & Secretary respectively.

The examination will be held on 8th & 9th April 2013. It is mandatory for members to attend ACRSICON before or after the training course for qualifying to appear for FACRSI.

The ACRSICON 2013 would be held at hotel Clark Khajuraho from 20th to 22nd Sept 2013. The organizing secretary & Chairman are Dr. Mukesh Shrivastav & Dr. D. U. Pathak.

The following members were selected for travelling fellowship

1. Zydus travelling fellowship to St. Francis hospital, CT( USA) Dr. Amit Desai – Gold Medalist ( Mumbai) Dr. Jagdish Hedawoo ( Nagpur)

2. Zuventus Travelling fellowship Dr. Rajan Relekar Gold Medalist ( Thane) Dr. Abdull Rather ( Shrinagar)

3. Hargobind foundation No candidate was entertained.Dr. Nilesh doctor informed that they might discontinue ACRSI fellowship to UK Constitution Dr. B. K Rau & his team are working furiously to examined the ASI constitution & formulate the drafting of ACRSI constitution based on that Dubai conference was appreciated from the scientific session point of view. Thane surgical society made a written complaint of the financial problem of the conference. One, the financial planning was poor & second conference finances were misappropriated. A committee was constituted of Dr. Niranjan Agarwal , Dr. Relekar & Dr. Nalawade which will go through all details & make final report. Losses if any will have to be fulfilled by Dr. Kushal Mittal as has been done in past also by other organizer. Three months are given for this enquiry. It was also decided that till enquiry is over, the event manager for Dubai conference be kept on hold. If any wrong doing is found, we will blacklist the event manager. Directory of ACRSI Membership would be awarded to M/S cameo infinity as his quotation is the most reasonable . he would pay deposit of Rs. Fifty thousand and share fifty percent of the

profit above & over printing & back office and other actual expenses, This data would be utilized for election process. This was approve by everyone. Eligibility of voters- Members made before 31st April 2013 would be eligible to participate in election The BIC Chennai – Dr. Selvakumar submitted his audited balance sheet & informed that there are various dues which are pending from sponsors hence the contribution to ACRSI would be made only after payment by those companies. He expressed his inability to share any thing since he is already in deficit. However people complimented Dr. B. K. Rau & Dr. Selvakumar for their hard work Election- Dr. B. K Rau is the election officer for the coming election. Dr. Gopinath has expressed his inability to participate as election officer. Everyone expressed their confidence & faith in Dr. B. K. Rau for conducting the incoming election in fair & just manner. Since our membership data is not yet complete hence the election would be conducted by postal ballot only. This can be substantiated by K Y C form for identity of the voters. The team would take over in the khajurao conference. Treasurers report was submitted by Dr. E Bensam which was well applauded & passed by majority. Since their was no other matter for discussion, meeting was adjourned after thanking the chair. AGM Minutes : Kochi : 2011

Minutes of the AGM held ON 29TH Dec @ Hall H, Hotel Le Meridien, Kochi.

Meeting was called to order by President Dr Subodh Varshney & he welcomed all those who were present .

As no deaths were reported, no condolence was observed.

Dr Shekhar Suradkar informed the audience that since no records were minuted by the Past Secretary nor any evidence was provided hence they can not be confirmed. Dr S D Chivate was asked by President to hand over the CD/Video to current secretary so that he can minute it in the AGM register to which he agreed readily.

Hon Secretary briefed the body about the activities conducted after 1 st Jan.2011

1)The BIC was conducted @ RNT Medical college under Dr Garima Mehata & Dr F S Mehta which was a huge success. This was followed by FACRSI Examination .The body applauded their efforts .

2)ASI conducted the Fresh elections as per its Guidelines under the supervision of PPS’ ASI Dr H S Bhanushali & Dr A H Hai.The election officers were namely Drs Ajay Khanna ,Jyotsna Kulkarni & Kumkum Singh.

3)The New body took over from the previous committee on 19 th June 2011 @ Mumbai.

4) The new team under the Presidentship of Dr Subodh Varshney took lot of initiatives which was circulated to all life members via Presidential News letter.

5)The Presidential News letter was sent to all life members informing them about decisions taken by EC & also for inviting nominations for Orations & various travelling fellowships.

6)The ACRSI Saga was authored by Dr P N Joshi & Dr H G Doctor about past, present & future which was circulated to all life members

7) AIC & ACRSICON ,2011 was organized @ Madurai under the able guidance of Dr Mayilvaganan & Dr S Chitra, all credit was due to the Patron Dr Sivalingam & his able team .General body appreciated the efforts put up by them & whole heartedly complimented the team.

8) Board of Examination-As prof. Shivlingam proposed not to have second term, therefore new board was formed as follows,

9) Hon. Secretary informed that the ACRSI website is fully functional and all the activities of the ACRSI can be viewed on line including the journal and practicing

parameters. members can download various forms like membership ,travelling fellowship and submit it online. This will tremendously help in reducing the paper cost and reach to the maximum no of people .

10) Travelling fellowship for 2012

Zuventus Travelling fellowship -Dr. Chandramohan ( Trivendrum),Dr. Madhura Killedar ( Sangli)

Hon. Secretary implored all the members to appear for fellowship examination so that they can qualify for travelling fellowship, a condition which is mandatory for applying.

11) BIC 2012 is being organized by Dr. B.K. Rau – Chairman and Dr. Selvakumar – organizing Secretary at Hotel Savera Chennai from 19th April to 22nd April 2012.This will be followed by FACRSI Examination

The Advance instructional course and national annual conference 2012 is being organized by chairman Dr Parvez Sheikh and secretary Dr. Kushal Mital at hotel Intercontinental and Crown plaza Dubai from 25th to 29th Sept 2012.

12) Constitution -Dr. B.K. Rau and his team is working at furious speed to complete the task of drafting constitution of ACRSI on the basis of ASI constitution. He would be requested to complete the task as early as possible and present asap.

13) BIC expenses : Dr. L. Ladukar organizing secretary, BIC Nagpur 2010 submitted the audited balance sheet and profit of Rs. 2 Lakhs including the contribution of Rs. 500 per delegate to the ACRSI.he was loudly cheered for his grand efforts.

BIC, Udaipur 2011 – Dr. Garima Mehta informed that there was no income left out of the total income generated by the event. The contribution per delegates to be given to ACRSI was utilized towards exam expenses. She has been informed to sent the details of account as per the protocol.

14) ACRSICON expenses – Dr. Suradkar organizing secretary of ACRSICON /AFCP 2009 Goa had already presented the audited balance sheet and declared Rs. 20lakh as profit .Out of this , 50%i.e about 10lakh DD was presented to ACRSI, which included Rs. 500 per delegate contribution also. Members very loudly appreciated the efforts of the team and congratulated them.

Dr. Dinesh Shah organizing secretary ACRSICON -2009 Jaipur also presented the audited balance sheet with only Rs. 840 as profit .when members asked about the difference about the two Dr. Shekhar Suradkar informed in the AGM that the total income of both the conferences were about same i.e. around 70lakhs while in Goa, hospitality &registration waiver was given to 20 International and 40 National faculties and fabulous dinner was organized almost on all days and Goa conference could still make 20 lakh profit ,while in Jaipur no hospitality and registration waiver was provided to anyone including President,ACRSI and simple dinner was served on ONE day only and inspite of that Dr. Shah has shown only Rs. 840 as profit.When angry members raised questions about the veracity of the balance sheet Dr. Shah flew into rage and angrily retorted that “you people do what ever you want to do ,I am not going to give any explanation.” There was lot of hue and cry about the whole thing and members demanded strict action against such members.Hon Secretary informed the AGM that no contribution from Jaipur conference i e Rs 500/-candidate which amounts to be around Rs 50,000/- was not paid inspite of repeated reminders. When lot of people pressurized Dr. Shah he reluctantly agreed to send it within 15 days from now. When few members asked how our association allows such thing to happen and why not stringent action is being taken, President assured that he will study the matter in depth and take appropriate action in near future .

15) Term of the current team – Dr. Suradkar informed the audience that the previous term had to be extended for six months more because of the postponement of election and the current team took charge in the month of June 2011. Ideally the term starts from 1st of January when the new President is installed during ASCICON. So for streamlining the further and future administration, this team would work till ASCION 2013 when the newly elected president would takes over. It was agreed by everyone except Dr. Shah and Dr. Chiwte who said it should last only for 2 years that is till june 2013. But all the members supported the extension of team till ASICON 2013.This was proposed by Dr Nisar Chowdri & seconded by Dr Rajshekhar Mohan

Treasurer reports

Dr. E. Bensam presented the treasurer’s report with audited balance sheet which was appreciated by everyone and brought good round of applause from the audience.

Since there was nothing more on the agenda to discuss, Hon secretary Dr. Shekhar Suradkar thanked the chair for conducting the proceeding &President Dr. Varshney adjourned the meeting
