Production of stainless items

Thanks to the company’s extensive range of professional skills, AGJ Stainless is able to offer manufacturing of lathed and milled machine components and steel constructions in sheet and profile. All components are delivered with certificates in accordance with current European standards and complete documentation. All weldings are performed by our certificate welders and if required, in accordance with PQR, WPQR and WPSs and welding technical standards as per DS/EN ISO 3834 and DS/EN 1090.

AGJ Stainless manufactures a number of different stainless steel components for our clients in the pharmaceutical and foods industry. In addition, we manufacture stainless machine components and steel constructions for a range of different industries such as the Danish navy and army, manufacturers of bioethanol and petrochemical products. PIPE TECHNIQUE

Black and stainless pipes in all dimensions

Our team in AGJ pipe technique works with manufacturing of pipe and pump systems in a number of different industries. We have delivered pipe systems for: • Scandinavian power plants in accordance with the

PED directive. • Pharmaceutical production facilities. • Chemical production facilities. • Petrochemical facilities and refineries. • Wastewater treatment facilities in the pharma-

ceutical industry. • Pressurized installations such as kettles and tanks.

Our certificate welders typically cooperate with our pipe fitters about specific projects and are supported by our welding specialists and welding technicians. Our technicians from AGJ Engineering also cooperate with our teams in AGJ Pipe Technique, and often function as supervisors on specific projects.




Our team in AGJ Pipe Technique consists of specialists in manufacturing and construction of pipe and process facilities in the pharmaceutical industry. The team performs orbital welding on pipe systems with our own orbital welding equipment.

Our certificate welders are typically holders of valid welding certificates in accordance with current standards. Typical certificates are 111, 135, 136 and 141 and certificate for welding of plastic pipe systems.

Our team performs pressure tests using our own pressure testing equipment and own control with own endoscope. Our technicians and welding specialists perform visual inspection and assessment as per specific customer requirements. We typically cooperate with accredited third parties with regard to NDT.

AGJ Pipe Technique manufacture pipe systems in different plastic types, depending on our customers needs and specifications. Plastic pipe systems have been delivered to a wide variety of industrial applications such as: • Scandinavian power plants. • Pharmaceutical processing plants. • Petrochemical plants and refineries. • The shipbuilding industry and naval wessels. • The food processing industry. Our pipe technique team are specialized in building and manufacturing pipe systems and processing plants in the medical industry. Therefore we are able to deliver complete pipe systems including the final compression tests and complete documentation.

AGJ A/S cooperate with some of the leading european manufacturers of plastic pipes, valves, fittings and bearings. Thus we can deliver complete overall plastic piping solutions directly from european manufacturers. Our team conduct compression tests with in-house compresson testing equipment. Our technicians and welding specialists (IWS) conduct visual inspections and judgement on customers request.

AGJ Industrial service conduct industrial service in some of the largest industrial plants in Denmark. AGJ Industrial service is experienced in: • Shut-down on refineries and in petrochemical

industries. • Reparation of production equipment and machinery. • Reparation and maintenance assignments in chemical

processing plants. • Certificate welding on pipe- and tank systems under

pressure in the petrochemical industry. • Odd jobs in forging- machining- and maintenance at

our customers in Scandinavian industry.

AGJ Industrial service conduct assembly assignments in a wide variety of industries – from slaughterhouses and producers of enzymes to bioethanol plants and producers of high voltage cables. Since 1963 we have accumulated a lot of experience that our customers today benefit from.

The team use this experience for fitting instruments, valves, pumps and heat exchangers in power plants and in petrochemical industries.

AGJ Industrial service offer a wide variety of services to those of our industrial customers who are in need of overall solutions. These services include: • Hydraulic- or pneumatic tightening of bolts with torque. • Pipe assignments in connection with welding. • On site flange- or valve processing. • On site machine processing on processing plants. • Tightening with electronic totque tools. • Compression tests of pipe- and tank installations. • NDT (Non Destructive Test) can be conducted with our

Manufactoring, laser planing, hardcoating and balancing of engineered heavy duty fans

AGJ A/S manufacture heavy duty fans and conduct industrial service on all kinds of fans in a wide variety of industries in Scandinavia. We have accumulated great experience with assignments on engineered heavy duty fans like e.g.: • Manufacturing of fans and impellers for industrial purposes

– including drawing, construction, welding, annealing and overalle machine processing of fans and impellers..

• Industrial service on boosters, fans and ventilators on scandinavian power plants.

• Service on fans on cooling towers and ventilator cabinets. • On site balancing of fans and impellers with special

The team has accumulated great experience with manufacturing of engineered heavy duty fans and impellers for industrial purposes. We offer our industrial customers manufacturing of heavy duty fans and impellers from measuring and CAD construction to welding, annealing, balancing and final assembly. Balancing is conducted on site in the processing plant with special equipment.

Production of steel constructions




AGJ Produktion has more than 2,300 m2 of workshop buildings at its disposal in Stenlille on the island of Zealand. Our team solves many different tasks: • Production of platforms, stairs and protection for the

industry. • Serial production of industrial steel constructions

including mass production for the windmill industry. • Rolling and certificate welding of pipe systems and

containers. • Repair of machine components when coating with hard

metal, e.g. wolfram carbides. • Support in connection with different service

assignments under AGJ Industy service. • Different blacksmith and machine assignments – both

black and stainless steel.

Our team in AGJ Produktion work in accordance with LEAN inspired production principles. This ensures a high degree of efficiency with a maximum production flow and a minimal waste of materials. We work in compliance with our own ISO 9000 inspired quality control system, which has been validated by the Danish windmill industry. Our production team cooperates closely with our technicians and engineers in AGJ Engineering. AGJ Production benefits from the expertise of our engineers, machine technicians, welding specialists and welding technicians during production and manufacturing. AGJ Production has an overall annual capacity equivalent of approx. 1.200 tons of steel constructions. Our team performs certificate welding of steel constructions in both black and stainless steel and work in accordance with current welding technical standards as per DS/EN ISO 3834 and DS/EN ISO 1090.

Hard-coating with carbides




AGJ Production repairs and extends the life of machine components that have been exposed to adhesive and abrasive wear and tear. Our team in AGJ Production has worked up a solid experience in carbide coating with thermical spraying or HVOF technique. AGJ Production has experience with: • Hard-coating of spindles, crushers, gear wheels, valves,

worms, beaters and machine components exposed to damage.

• Hard-coating of new machine components exposed to abrasive or adhesive tear and wear – with a significant prolongation of life as the goal.

• Coating of spindles for the cement industry using WC-10Co-4Cr and HVOF technique.

• Hard-coating of machine components with a total weight of up to 15.000 kg – diameter ø1.500 mm and total length up to 11.000 mm.

• Coating of components with geometric tolerances for ovalness and coaxiality finer than 0,005 mm.

• PTA Welding under ASME IX for the oil industry in Saudi Arabia.

We cooperate with a close partner in Sweden, who coat, machine-process and heat-treat complex machine components. Our technicians and engineers in AGJ Engineering offer supervision.

The spindles are coated for the cement industry with the aim of prolongation of life.

AGJ Surface Technology offer all kinds of life extention or reparation of machine components or wearing parts exposed to tear or corrosion. We offer solutions conducted by MAG ”Open-Arc” welding, PTA-welding, thermal coating applied with twin-arc,flame- or plasma coating or thermal coating applied with HVOF-equipment. AGJ Surface Technology offer: • Thermal coating with HVOF-equipment on shafts, cog

wheels, valve trunks, piston rods and machine components exposed to crash or massive tear.

• PTA-welding of valves, grinders, shafts, rotors or similar

applications exposed to extreme tear, impact and pressure in isolated points.

• Open arc or plasma coating of shafts and other wearing

parts exposed to tear or corrosion. Often a more cost effective alternative to HVOF.

• Conduction of the following fusing by heating of components

after e.g. open arc coating of surface.

• Using WPQR, our IWT’s in AGJ Engineering document the present pWPS and the final WPS for e.g. PTA-welding or welding with MAG ”Open-Arc”.

Turbine casing for LP-turbine on power plant is repaired with plasma arc and Metco 8447 – Ni-based special alloy for high temperature protection.

Life extention of wearing parts for coal mills




AGJ Surface Technology has accumulated great experience with welding and hard coating of cylinders, grinding boards a.o. for coal mills. AGJ Surface Technology conduct:

• Welding and life extention on wearing parts used in typical coal mills in some of the biggest power plants in Scandinavia!

• Hardcoating of cylinders with several layers of hard metal consisting of chrome- and wolfram carbides a.o.!

• Welding with ”open-arc” and carbide filled welding wire – typically AGJ Corthal 55Mo!

• Welding of cylinders and similar components in our production in Stenlille – alternatively in Germany!

• On site welding of grinding boards and similar components with mobile welding equipment.

• WPS as a thorough basis for the welding parameters – e.g. the correct heatinput and correct mixture of basic materials.

• Life extention from approx. 4.000 hours to more than 9.000 hours = improved business results!

• Life extention ofwearing parts for coal mills from Loesche, Berz, Raymond and Pfeiffer.

Cylinder for Loesche coal mill is hardcoated to extend the number of operating hours.

For this Loesche cylinder we used approx.300 kg. AGJ Corthal 55Mo. It takes approx.3 - 400 kg. of material per cylinder to rebuild a tear of 40mm depth.

Development, quality assurance and documentation

AGJ A/S employs machine technicians, engineers, technical designers, welding specialists (IWS) and welding technicians (IWT). Our technicians construct and draw many different assignments – for different industrial clients as well as internally when required.




In addition, our technicians work with: 3D construction in AutoCAD & INVENTOR CAD system. Preparation of technical documentation in accordance with customer requirements. Certification of welding assignments and certificates on raw materials, e.g. EN 10204/3.1 on raw dairy pipes. Inspection of delivery of materials and onsite supervision for our industrial clients. General quality assurance QA & QC.

Preparation of P&I charts and pipe facility documentation. Preparation of welding test with own endoscope and pressure testing equipment. Visual inspection of weldings performed by own welding specialists (IWS) or welding technicians (IWT). Compliance with current welding procedures in accordance with current European standards, incl. DS/EN ISO 3834. Workplace assessment and safety are highly rated issues. CAD drawing and calculation of statically determined constructions and dimensioning of a-measurements on welded constructions. Production planning in projects a.o. Drawing up of welding procedures in accordance with our own welding and quality manual. ..and many more assignments!
