2016 Annual Conference: Using Collaboration and Connectivity to Cultivate Success

Background• On July 27, 2016 the Directory Oversight Committee approved to move

412k plus GLN’s to the reuse pool.

• The approval was based on the Entity Functional Group’s recommendation.

• The approved recommendation was based on an evaluation of statistics of the eligible GLN’s available for reuse:

• AGIIS currently had 414,420 Global Location Number’s (GLN’s) eligible (this was based on a query generated by CSC on 7/12/2016) for reuse based on the AGIIS GLN Reuse Policy (GLN is inactive for 4 years and then is eligible for reuse).

• The Directory Oversight Committee reviewed and evaluated statistics related to the 414,420 GLN’s eligible for reuse and determined they would like to distribute a subset of the 414,420 GLN’s for subscriber review and ultimately be released to the GLN Reuse Pool.

EFG - GLN Reuse Recommendation• Reuse would occur on an annual basis

• Reuse would be a two step process – notification and implementation

• Notification of a published list would occur with other annual maintenance activities

• Implementation of moving GLN’s to the Reuse Pool would occur at least 45 days after notification.

• Would combine with other maintenance activities for ease of scheduling, communications and maintenance.

• The only exception would be the immediate need for codes.

• Follow the current Exclude Exemption criteria (Bought Out, Out of Business, Orphan’s) by process.• DOC would review rules on an annual basis by policy to ensure they are still relevant.

• Process would be documented in the AGIIS Operation Procedures document.

• The first GLN Reuse Implementation would begin in 2016• Notification of published list would be in Mid-December

• Implementation would occur in Mid to late January.

• Dates will be finalized in November and communicated to subscribers in the Annual Maintenance communication sent out November 28th.

Trading Partner Test Tool• Overview

• Three phases of implementation

• Phase 1 – Create an environment and implement a process that enables testing of basic connectivity and perform schema validation on the message (OAGi Chem eStandard). Will perform initial load of target schemas into ebMS engine

• Phase 2 – Build on Phase 1 by creating a process that allows subscribers to test message compliance for the following:

• Validate that all of the GLN Number(s) in the message exist in the AGIIS directory.

• Validate that all of the GTIN Number(s) in the message exist in the AGIIS directory.

• Validate that all of the Unit of Measure Value(s) in the message exist in the AGIIS directory.

• Create a results report that can be sent back to subscribers

• Phase 3 - Extend the process defined in PCR 203-2 to return the correct OrderResponsemessage based on the incoming OrderCreate message received.

Trading Partner Test Tool

• Reason for enhancement

• To encourage and promote ebMS connectivity which is associated to unique identifiers.

• AgGateway project participants have the need to test their ebMS connectivity, message formats and content (unique identifiers, unit of measure and etc.) especially when trading partners are not available or ready to connect with them.

• Costs

• Phase 1 – 70 hours

• Phase 2 – 180 - 240

• Phase 3 – 70 – 110 hours
