BURSARY & Emergency Grant• $500 awarded per student and applications open each semester. • Applications are received through mycesar.ca – Fall Bursary opens up on August 31st
at 12pm and the deadline is on October 12th at 5pm • 4 weeks after the deadline, successful candidates are contacted for their bursary
cheque which is distributed out of the CESAR office. • CESAR offers an emergency grant to part time and continuing education students to
assist those who are experiencing unexpected and emergency financial situations.
ACADEMIC ADVOCACY
• The Students’ Rights Coordinator is available by appointment to advise and assist with issues between the student and the university. E.g., grade appeals and fee appeals.
Drop in hours: • Tuesdays: 2-4pm • Wednesdays: 5-7pm • Thursdays: 4-6pm

CESAR provides Health and Dental coverage to Part-time undergraduate program students.
If you have a comparable insurance plan the opt-out period is from September 1 – October 12
Students enrolled in a certificate program are now eligible to opt-in to the CESAR Health and Dental Plan.

Provides resources, organizes workshops on healthy and affordable eating options
Focuses on challenging transphobia, cissexism,
transmisogyny and binarism
A women-only space for women and self-identified women
Provides safer-sex info for same-sex couples and ongoing

Seeks to improve accessibility and inclusion of students with

CESAR is here to represent and advocate for the needs of it’s membership through various campaigns. The focus this year is on:

• CESAR builds community through fun , supportive and inclusive events and workshops at Ryerson.
• We organize a variety of social, political and educational events for our members.
• We offer training sessions and workshops that is customized to enhance volunteers and members professional and academic development.
• Additionally, we offer training sessions such as anti-oppression practice to ensure that our volunteers are operating from an anti-oppressive framework.
• Our political events aim to educate and mobilize members around issues that affect them and enhance their civic engagement in the community.
VOLUNTEER Opportunities
• We create opportunities for students to interact and be involved in their campus life through our volunteer program.
• Through this program, volunteers gain skills in events planning, campaigns, public speaking, outreach and much more!
• Volunteers receive incentives and recognitions and we appreciate them at our Volunteer Gala.
