Delegation to the first meeting of the EU-BiH Stabilisation and AssociationParliamentary Committee Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) (BiH) 5-6 November 2015 Tonino PICULA (S&D, HR), will lead the EP delegation to the first meeting of the EU-BiHStabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee in Sarajevo on 5 and 6 November.He will accompanied by Dubravka ŠUICA (EPP, HR), Jozo RADOŠ (ALDE, HR), TerryREINTKE (Greens/EFA, DE), Davor Ivo STIER (EPP, HR) and Julie WARD (S&D, UK). Aside of the two working sessions of the SAPC, Members will hold meetings withmembers of the BiH Presidency, the Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers, DenisZVIZDIĆ, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igor CRNADAK, the Minister of Treasury andFinance, Vjekoslav BEVANDA, as well as with their counterparts of the BiH Parliamentand with NGOs representatives. BiH will also be high on the agenda. The Stabilisation and Association Agreement between BiH and EU entered into force on 1June. According to the SAA a joint EU-BiH Stabilisation and Association ParliamentaryCommittee is created. Exploratory mission to Venezuela 4-7 November 2015 Caracas, Venezuela An exploratory mission composed of three Members of the European Parliamentwill travel to Caracas from 4 to 7 November. The mission will be chaired by RamónJÁUREGUI ATONDO (S&D, ES) and further composed of Gabriel MATO (EPP, ES)and Fernando MAURA BARANDIARÁN (ALDE, ES). The aim of the exploratory mission, mandated by the EP Conference of Presidents(President of the European Parliament and the leaders of the political group), is to meetwith representatives of both governmental and opposition political forces in Venezuela in

order to assess the political situation and prepare the grounds for a full ad-hoc delegationof the European Parliament. The ad-hoc delegation, which shall be composed of therepresentatives of all political groups in the House (as of 30 April 2015), was called for in aresolution of the European Parliament of 27 February 2014, as well as the plenaryresolutions of 18 December 2014 and of 12 March 2015. Authorised by the Conference ofPresidents on 30 April 2015 and scheduled to take place on 16-19 July 2015, the ad-hocdelegation had to be postponed due to a lack of cooperation from the Venezuelanauthorities. Legal Affairs committee mission to Washington DC 3-6 November, Washington DC A delegation of eight Members of the Legal Affairs Committee, chaired by PavelSVOBODA (EPP, CZ), will travel to Washington, DC, to visit Congress, the USadministration, the Supreme Court and the World Bank. They will also meet with the EUAmbassador to the United States and with representatives of civil society.
