Treatment Plant (5500-90)

Moved by Councillor Siemens, seconded by Councillor Hamilton, that Report No. JSSC 026-2016, dated April 4, 2016 from the JAMES Plant Wastewater Manager, regarding the Three Year Contract Award for Polymer Supply at the JAMES Wastewater Treatment Plant, be received for information; (1) Kermira North America be awarded the three year contract award for Polymer Supply at the JAMES Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the amount of $569,841, plus GST; and (2) the City of Abbotsford Mayor and Corporate Officer be authorized to execute all documents related to this matter.

Media for the JAMES Plant Trickling Filter (TF) 1, Cell 1 (5330-70/TF1)

Moved by Mayor Braun, seconded by Mayor Hawes, that Report No. JSSC 027-2016, dated April 20, 2016, from the Project Engineer, regarding Award of Contract 1220-2016-1891 - Supply and Delivery of the Replacement Media for the JAMES Plant Trickling Filter (TF) 1, Cell 1, be received for information; and Contract 1220-2016-1891 - Supply and Delivery of the Replacement Media for the JAMES Plant Trickling Filter (TF) 1, Cell 1, be awarded to Brentwood Industries, Inc., in the amount of $538,424, plus GST.

.6 Advancement of Funding for New Source Supply Preliminary Investigation

Moved by Mayor Hawes, seconded by Mayor Braun, that Report No. JSSC 022-2016, dated April 26, 2016, from the Acting Senior Engineer, Water Utilities and Solid Waste, regarding Advancement of Funding for New Source Supply Preliminary Investigation, be received for information; (1) the Abbotsford Mission Water & Sewer Commission authorize staff to advance $200,000 from the 2017/2018 budgets into 2016 for the preliminary investigation of new source supply options; and (2) the District of Mission and the City of Abbotsford each amend their financial plans accordingly.
