Read the essay two times through.
Use the peer revision guide handout to mark the rough draft and/or take notes on the handout.
Spend time conferencing about each piece:
When it’s your turn to listen to feedback, listen and process whether or not you want to take the advice. You don’t need to defend your rough draft.
When it’s your turn to provide feedback, make sure you are respectful and highlight the good as well as the areas that need attention.
Review of Characters and Plot What’s happened so far?
Jack/Ernest Algy
Let’s continue reading! Follow along
Irony Situational: There’s a difference between what is expected and fitting and what actually happens or what is said. In this play it usually happens when there is a contrast between the characters’ elegance and their absurdity.
Dramatic: The actions and words of the characters means different things to the character and the readers because the reader has more knowledge.
