Purpose of the Building Community Through Telecollaboration Project

The purpose of the BCT Project is

“to encourage, facilitate and support collaboration among students, teachers and educational leaders to enhance learning across the community”


Major Goals of the BCT Project

The major goals of the BCT Project are to: build an online community of practice to

support collaboration across Quebec facilitate the just-in-time learning of ICT

tools and eventually include students in collaborative projects

encourage professional conversations amongst teachers and educational leaders within the BCT Community of Practice


Theme Sharing and Celebrating Collaborative Projects

Major Objectives for the 4th BCT Face-to-Face Meeting

1. Share experiences in developing collaborative projects and reflect on the lessons learned from them

2. Develop new knowledge about the use of ICT-supported learning that can be shared by teachers beyond the project

3. Provide opportunities to develop and refine skill in the use of relevant ICT tools for use in the classroom

4. Gather feedback on the BCT project as well as ideas and strategies on how it can be improved and sustained

2. Video Slide Show Celebrating the BCT Face-to-Face Meetings

3. Brief Review of Purpose and Goals of the BCT Project

4. Cycle Team Preparation Time to Finalize Reports on Collaborative Projects

5. Cycle Team Reports on Collaborative Projects with Partner/Group Discussion After Each Cycle Reports

6. Video Presentations on Aspects of the BCT Project

7. Discussion of Lessons Learned from the above Collaborative Project Reports in Cycle Teams
