Harpsichordist Luc Beauséjour’s virtuosic, elegant and expressive playing is appreciated by audiences, critics and specialists alike. His performances are infused with his special touch, for an unusual and spellbinding experience. Mr. Beauséjour leads a very active performing schedule in Canada and abroad that has taken him to France, the United States, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Belgium and Bermuda. He has performed at numerous festivals, in-cluding the Festival d’Uzès (France), the Lanaudière International Festival, the Festival d’Ambronay, the festival Un été à Bourges, the Lamèque Early Music Festival (New Brunswick), and the Vancouver Early Music Festival. Luc Beauséjour’s orchestral projects are aimed at baroque orchestras and symphony orchestras alike.

A winner of many renowned scholarships and competitions, Marie-Josée Lord impresses critics and audiences alike with the depth of her talent, and with her charming and charismatic personality. She made her professional debut in the fall of 2003, singing Liù in Puccini’s Turandot at the Opéra de Québec. More recently, Marie-Josée Lord has been heard as Marie-Jeanne in the world premiere of the operatic version of the celebrated musical Starmania (Plamondon/Berger). She also sang the role of Nedda in the 2009 production by the Opéra de Mon-tréal of Puccini’s I Pagliacci. During the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons, Marie-Josée Lord was a guest of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Longueuil Symphony Orchestra, the Sherbrooke Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Lévis Symphony Orchestra and the Sinfonia Lanaudière.

Four-time winner of the International Accordion Competition, remarkable musician with boundless virtuos-ity, Alexander Sevastian is one of the most exciting accordionists of his generation. Born in Minsk, Belarus, Alexander Sevastian is a very active recitalist and chamber musician. Recent solo engagements include recitals in Mexico, Italy, Portugal, Serbia, U.S.A. and Canada as well as appearances with several symphony orchestras. Alexander Sevastian is a member of the renowned Quartetto Gelato. In addition to his chamber music projects, Alexander Sevastian has played with numerous symphony orchestras in Europe and Canada. He peformed as guest soloist of the Mississauga Symphony in the Fall of 2010. His CD RUSSIAN FAVOURITES was released in September 2011 on the major label Analekta.

In collaboration with an orchestra and with the know-how of arranger Michel Gingras, MG3 takes us to Hollywood on a voyage of rediscovery of some of the best-known themes and music written for the cinema. The celebrated composer Morricone, who wrote the music for the Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns, is the star of the program. We are also treated to music by B. Hermann, who wrote the score for the greatest thriller of all times: Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho. The programme also features the greatest hits of D. Elfman, composed for The Nightmare before Christmas and Men in Black. During the last few seasons, MG3 has been the guest of the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean Symphony orchestra, the Quebec Symphony orchestra, the Kamloops Symphony orchestra and the Ensemble Appassionata.

Bearing Montreal’s original Iroquois name, Trio Hochelaga has, since its inception in 2000, rapidly distin-guished itself on the Canadian musical scene as one of the country’s most important musical ensembles. Violinist Anne Robert, cellist Paul Marleyn and pianist Stéphane Lemelin share their passion for the cham-ber music repertoire ranging from the classical era to contemporary music.
